After an initial meeting, they promised to get back in touch. More than 2 weeks later, I have left messages but still no contact or call back.
I'd love to get funding to operate this kind of organisation. Where do I apply?

Now they tell me they have had a cyber security breach. I say close them down now and withdraw their funding immediately.

I only popped in to donate some wool and knitting needles. The people I met were cheerful and welcoming. They had no hesitation in inviting me to join either their knit and natter or their sewing group
