I'm frankly surprised at the number of negative reviews for this practice as I've been using it for over a decade and have never found anything but polite and courteous treatment, been given prompt appointments and received excellent dental care.
Reading more closely I see that many are from disgruntled patients who didn't turn up (one even blaming the practice for not having an answerphone when they tried to cancel an immediately pending appointment when away on holiday)!
This practice is the same as all others in that it will remove patients who repeatedly let them down due to non attendance, yet sends a reminder by email and phone text message at least once well prior to a pending appointment.
I'd therefore ask people looking at these reviews to take them with a liberal pinch of salt.
I've never been happier with a dental service in complete honesty.

I was given an unecassary filling in my pre NHS applicant appointment.

Long story short I have been with my private dentist since I was born but due to having my own child I was looking for a NHS dentist. I was told hadley dental practice was taking applicants. I rang and they said before I could join the NHS list I had to have an appointment to see what state my teeth are in. During the appointment I was told I need a filling as it had a big hole in. This took me by surprise as 1 month before this appointment I had been with my private dentist for a check up and she mentioned nothing. Everything happened so fast I didn't have a chance to think. I ended up forking out ÂŁ175.00 for a white filling. Anyway fast forward to this week (3 months later) I've gone back to my private dentist and explained why I had a filling and the reason for trying somewhere else and she mentioned 2 of my teeth did have watches on and have done for 2 years (but she knows the rate of my decay so hasnt acted on it as its not currently necessary) but the one that had the filling was not on her radar at all. She said the tooth they have done the filling in was fine and the filling wasn't necessary. I have then looked online and a few others who have attended pre NHS patient appointments have had the same outcome. I will be looking into this further.

I visited this dental practice to have my wisdom teeth removed in June after a long wait. I was really happy with how everything went and was told to call up if I had any problems and I’d be seen. 2 weeks later I had to call up as my stitches still hadn’t dissolved. The women I spoke to at reception told me that there was nothing they could do as the NHS contract had ended and I had been discharged back to my dentist. This being said they must have a duty of care to there clients as they had done the tooth extraction! I was told to call my dentist which I did and they told me I would have to pay to have my stitches removed as it wasn’t done at the practise. After a dispute on the phone where I was spoke to in a very abrupt manner I was told to call the following Tuesday to see if the dentist would agree to see me even though she told me if there was a problem she would see me when I have them removed which I did. I was actually shocked at the way I was spoken to on the phone on the Tuesday due to rudeness, I was offered an appt for the Wednesday the next day at 10.10am which I couldn’t make due to work commitments which I clearly explained. I was then offered appointments way in the future in august and September which totally defeated the object of my call as I had then had the stitches in for 3 weeks at this time as needed to be seen to have these removed. I was told “what do you want me to do about it”, that I was “refusing appointments” and the dentist was “doing me a favour seeing me anyway”. I explained I would have to pay for my appointment if I had my stitches removed elsewhere to be told “well if that’s the way it is that’s how it’s got to be”. The manner in which I was spoken to was really upsetting and I was so shocked at the rudeness when I’d been told to call if I had problems. After another heated discussion I was told to come at 8.50am on the Wednesday. I arrived at the practice on Wednesday morning to be told that I couldn’t have my appointment as the dentist was ill. I had no phone call to tell me that my appointment was cancelled after I’d drove all the way there. Why couldn’t they call me? I have now been forced to pay privately to have them removed as they have been in for so long. It’s a shame as like I said previously I was very happy with my extraction but the after care provided via reception was awful. I do myself have my own business in the service sector and I wouldn’t dream of speaking to my clients the way I was spoken to especially if they were seeking help after a service I had provided myself.

My father who’s 88 suffers from COPD, Arthritis, Prostate and Kidney problems was denied use of a toilet so we had to leave. Anyone who suffers like this knows that it’s embarrassing. My own dentist is much more accommodating to the needs of their customers. Dentist is ok though their toilet should be cleared of storage to be more accommodating to patients and take their needs into account particularly as there’s no public facility in Hadley.

Wouldn’t even give this place a one star! I was registered in 2018, I tried calling to cancel my appointment as I was on holiday at the time.
Because this place DOES NOT HAVE AN ANSWER PHONE, they took me off their list. After having my wisdom teeth come through and in amounts of pain I called them up to make an appointment they informed me that they’ve taken me off their list and they aren’t accepting any new patients.
