Very happy with the Stoughton Road surgery, especially the medical staff and I always have been - since 1996. The Wodeland Avenue receptionist was very dismissive today with a stock response of "online form" to every query. The new online forms for booking appointments are too complicated - my 80-year-old dad would struggle. It's a great idea for triage appointments where photos can be added but when you have been told to book an appointment after a scan and the system doesn't allow you to book routine appointments, it's ridiculous. And giving 4-hour time slots for telephone consultations is too broad - a bit like waiting in all day for a delivery. I went into Stoughton Road surgery and the very helpful receptionist gave me exactly what I needed.

Been part of this practice almost 30 years! it's never been this bad especially with their latest on-line contact.
Daughter contacted via on-line at 8am, received a text back at 8.30am saying that a telephone call has been booked for 2.30pm!!
Complaints are not addressed well and the practice manager just deflects any complaints, no apologise or anything.
The whole new system is a total shambles

Dr N M is one of the most dismissive doctors I have ever met. 4 days after a phone call with her not even a face to face, my son is still going down hill. Now I'll admit this surgery does have some truly AMAZING doctors, Lenus and Dr Lloyd are honestly perfect, truly amazing doctors. But my experience of Dr NM is so bad that I'm seriously considering changing surgery.

Trying to book an appointment or even speak to someone at this GP practice has been a nightmare. It's like a never-ending loop of phone calls and links that lead nowhere. The staff seem unable to assist in making the process any easier. It shouldn't be this difficult to access basic healthcare. Hopefully, they can improve their appointment booking system soon.

Mohammed H advised my partner to go to the pharmacy. What a helpful GP...
My partner has a temperature, swollen red eyes with discharge that he can barely open, pressure in his head (so he feels like he has a balloon in his head that is about to burst), sharp earache. When he moves his head, he feels like he is falling down. He also has a cough, sore throat, and other flu-like symptoms... The GP didn't even bother to call back.
This is all we deserve after paying National Insurance! It is unacceptable!

If I could put -10 I would put it….. they play with the baby’s health… I was so responsible to book my baby 8 and 12 vaccinations and they have been cancel it twice…. With a difference of 1 month to have the next appointment again…. So why specify weeks vaccinations if the GP doesn’t care and play with the health… in my case I needed to travel to my Country which is a big risk and it was important to have all the vaccination now I need to see what I will do? It is unfair….

The medical team seem to have no idea of complex health issues and those who answer calls have no way of escalating concerns unless a patient is showing signs of a stroke or heart attack. Obvious that those responsible for triage do not read patients notes or follow national care guidelines for certain conditions. Everything crossed tonight that their negligence does not result in an emergency hospital admission.
