I honestly cannot recommend this place at all. The staff are treated terribly, and it’s clear that the management doesn’t care about their team. The managers here seem more interested in power trips than actually supporting their staff. No one seems to trust each other, and the communication is just awful. People are undervalued, and the lack of respect and empathy from the higher-ups is appalling. There’s no genuine leadership, just a bunch of power-hungry individuals making it hard for anyone to feel motivated. Please avoid if you’re looking for a supportive and fair workplace.

Grove is an awful place to work. I wouldnt dare recommend anybody to work here not even out of desperation. Senior staff and management are very sheepish and cliquey, talk about other staff members behind their backs, staff always treated like guilty for the most minor of issues, support staff are constantly disrespected by management and are forced to keep quiet for the sake of keeping a job. The company is absolutely awful, understaffed, managers lack proper training and qualifications; they are just bunch of uptight people with low self esteem who are in search of power. The only time they care about YPs are when there are audits or when their social workers come round for meetings. How they treat The YPs and support staff on a normal day alone will tell you.

Do yourselves a favour and dont apply.

I was left with no heating for a whole week, the boiler broke so that meant no heating, no hob and no showers, i spent a period of that time at my sisters house, they then refused to support to get back to placement and didn't take into consideration that i may nor have had money to get from Orton to wisbech

I have been working for Grove Social Care for almost a year. When I initially started I only wanted to work for a few months then move onto something else.

I can confidently say Grove Social Care is the best employer I have ever worked for.

We work with young people who haven't had the best start in life, and so often as youth workers we become co-parents to these children. It is a job which can be very challenging at times but will also feel impossible to do without the right support from management.

Support received from management have been impeccable. I have received the best ever support from Dave Atkinson, Karen Tolliday, Racheal Theodoulou, Alex Silva and Samantha Watts. I have found management staff to be friendly, professional, and helpful at all times.

Besides having a very supportive team, Grove will always find work for you which is a huge bonus. Another positive is that, once you find your feet, you are more likely to have your regular shifts with the young person you like to work with.

I will always advise you to pay attention to the training as it is first class. It will give you the opportunity to understand your duties well and also establish yourself well when you start work. The gentleman delivering training is called Keith Bass and he is awesome!

Grove social care is an awful dangerous place to work service users tell lies about support staff no help or safeguarding for support workers if allegations are made against support workers....your always treated as guilty..service user yps get away with murder..dont work there unsafe environment steer well clear..colleagues who you work with get a kick out of reporting other support workers to get them into trouble
One of the worst support jobs ever in my opinion!!
