Sick Patients are being treated unfairly by NHS Grove Health Centre by only offering a daily 8AM telephone slot, for booking a Doctor's appointment, which is an inadequate system for the needs of the community.
If you are too unwell to stay on the phone or cannot make this 8AM slot for other urgent reasons, your medical needs are being totally disregarded by NHS Tayside.
A fairer system for all sick patients, would be to offer both a daily AM slot and a PM telephone slot for booking Doctor's appointments.
A face to face Open surgery could also be offered once a week on a first come first served basis for treating sick patients.
This fairer Doctor appointment booking system would also
alleviate the pressure on the already exhausted Local Hospitals.
I hope the Grove Health Centre takes action on this matter to
ensure the safety of the community they are suppose to serve.

If you require an appointment you will be advised to call the practice from 8 am onwards. So I tried and tried and tried, from 8 am until 8.11 approx 83 calls within that time all recorded on my phone. I then tried on tuesday 07/01/25 from 8 until 8.02 approx 20 calls. I then tried to go into the practice on a referral from my local pharmacist but was advised to try phoning from 8 am on wed 08/01/25. Terrible service, there must be a better way to serve the community. I will try again or maybe the symptoms I have will just wilt the body away. Is this what the NHS want or have the practice been advised to work this way. Shocking

Just close this place and give me back my taxes so I can buy my own ibuprofen. I work at night. Night shift. I finish at 4 am. The only way to get an appointment is by calling at 8am. There hasn't been a single time when I have called and they actually helped me and i have called three times in the past 2 years. I feel like I have no doctor, pure and simple.

I've been here for 20 years, rubbish service as you have to phone like hundreds of time to get through to someone. The receptionist's can be a bit rude. Literally one of the worse GP clinics. You have to wait 45 minutes to an hour once you arrive for your appointment. It a time waster

I'd give less than one star if I could. Overall, combining the number of times I've ever tried calling this practice to arrange an appointment equals an insane 645 times. I genuinely wish I were lying and I've just totalled them up with a calculator. This was over a span of 3 months with the most amount of calls in one morning being 242 calls JUST to get ONE appointment. My entire family has been with the practice and every single one of us has issues calling. My dad left the practice because of it and so has my sister and I'm going to leave too. Upon finally getting through on the phone, I was met with an extremely dismissive staff member. You could tell her only priority was to end the call. My sister told me she encountered the exact same woman so it isn't a one off experience. Once you are in for an appointment it isn't too bad with the doctors and nurses being very polite. I genuinely wouldn't recommend going to this gp. If you want to save yourself hours of calling, just to be told there are no appointments left then DONT go here. I cannot express how gruelling it is and its honestly pathetic. To the comments saying not to trust comments like these, DONT LISTEN.

As per all the other previous posts; absolutely abysmal GP surgery and if i could leave zero stars i would.
Receptionist are terrible and abrupt.
Doctors are on the sick, half days or holidays meaning the chances of getting a same day appointment are extremely slim.
Covid played a blinder for them as they have continued in the vein its an absolute hindrance to them for you to have the audacity to require to see your GP.

Can't understand the bad reviews. You can please some of the people all of the time and you can please all of the people some of the time however you can't please all of the people all of the time rings true. I've had several appointments at this surgery and the service has been first class from all the doctors and staff. .Keep up the good work

Terrible experience. They just do book appointments if you call at 8:00am but when you can they never pick up the phone. I have called 63 times, one after another, one after another until I get upset and go to the reception personally and they said: "you need to go home and phone call tomorrow again". This place completely useless, waste of tax. I dont believe that I pay so much in tax to afford a such bad place as this one.
