I have been with this surgery for 20 years. I only ever see Dr Patel now who is fantastic and actually cares; if all the doctors were like him I think there would be hardly any negative reviews.

The receptionist are another matter; there ARE some that are helpful, but most of them are very unhelpful and dismissive and act as though THEY are the doctors asking what’s wrong with you, as though you want to tell someone with no medical training!
They also don’t try and help any patients who don’t speak English as their first language and are very dismissive; they could at least speak slower and more clearly to try and help them understand. Usually they just tell them to sign up to eConsult; how is someone who doesn’t have very good English skills meant to do that?!

Anyways; so there are some nice doctors here now, and the paramedics are also nice and nurse Nicky is lovely. I will NEVER get an appointment with Dr Sharma though. She is rude and dismissive and just wants to take you off your medication to save money; even if she’s not the one that has initially prescribed it!
I have never met anyone who has a nice word to say about her. The amount of people who have told me she’s taken them off their medication even though it’s against NICE guidelines is ridiculous.
She appears to only think about saving the surgery money and not about the patients.
She is also the worst doctor to see if you have mental health issues. You will come away feeling much worse!

My 4/5 stars is because the nice doctors there are very nice and helpful, but I would only give the surgery as a whole 2/5.
Something needs to be done as I feel they are failing a lot of people.

Children's doctor is horrible there, she seems to doesn’t know completely nothing about her job, she didn’t know where my 2 months old baby have lymph nodes and couldn’t diagnose my baby asking how we want her to check baby out and what we think is she sick with, like omg who’s the doctor there?! She didn’t even listen her chest or checked proper, it’s 3rd time we had told that baby fight with some kind of infection but not proper diagnosis and to keep look at baby and come if it gets worse. It happens since 6 weeks already. The worst service ever…

I wish I could give them 0 star for the way the receptionist spoke to me. I told her we are new to the area and I registered my husband online. I explained to the lady my husband went for a vision appointment and was told to get a blood test done as it’s having severe headaches and eye pain. When I told the receptionist, she was not considerate or anything, she just said he will need to wait for 2 weeks to be registered. I’m just so applauded by how this receptionist dealt with the matter. I’m going to register at a different surgery after how I was treated. I was with a GP surgery for over 20+ years before moving to Gravesend, and that GP was amazing!!!! DEFINITELY wouldn’t recommend this GP to ANYONE!! The receptionist need to be changed and their attitude is just by far disgusting!!

Recent visit for routine test: The nurse Nicky was very friendly, professional and made me feel at ease. The test conducted quickly with additional support offered for when the results come back. All in all a very good experience from start to finish at Gravesend Medical Centre.

Both my wife and I have had nothing but exceptional service from GMC they have been caring and compassionate I would make special mention of doctor Patel who to me is thorough and efficient and does his utmost to find the problem and answer. I would also like to say that doctor Soile once you get to know him also ranks highly. GMC have a large catchment and sometimes you have to wait a while for an appointment but once seen especially by doctor Patel the service is second to none. For me this surgery has improved 10 fold and deserving of 5 stars.

Argumentative GP it was a lady. Doesn’t want to listen to my point and claims they are going by ‘what’s on the system’ the same unreliable systems that don’t communicate to each other with the hospital! Terrible communication, really annoying, lack empathy and unprofessional. Hope the other GPs are nicer.

It is so disgusting when you are told by the GP 3 times during your visit that you didn’t need to make an appointment when you are feeling unwell because Covid was going around.
I‘ve been told by others who have visited the GP that they were told this nonsense but being told it myself went to a whole different level.
I had to sit and listen to the crap that she was sprouting. I was just too ill to respond. So, imagine, what other DETERRENTS are being used to stop other people visiting the GP when they are ill. We know we have 5 minutes a visit but goodness to be so blatantly uncaring is just beyond comprehension.
It is so wrong! Your standards have dropped drastically and dramatically and unfortunately the shoddy way you do things has been indoctrinated into the every day care your clients receive. You are in that capacity to help and positively impact people’s lives and health.
What has happened to your work ethics? What has happened to you as a person and a GP?
