Incompetent is all I have to say. Disgusted with the way my 96yr old Grandmother is being treated. Frustrated that I can’t remove my Gran from a temporary care home into a permanent one.Social worker does not update me, or let me know when he is going to visit Gran (Gran and myself have told him that I am wanted at meetings). Speaking to someone with Mixed Dementia whilst on her own is causing more distress for my Gran and myself. Social services should be ashamed of themselves. I’m disgusted with the treatment that my Gran is receiving so I’m looking into legal action

if i could have put 0 starts i would have. the social worker we will call her T who was supposed to safeguard my daughter has made multiple failings. she was attacked once and no safeguard was put in place which lead to another attack so my daughter had to flee Gloucester and come up north. wile awaiting transfer up here the case wasn't left with a duty social worker who could have carried on with the case, wile T was on leave putting my daughter in a position with nowhere to live pregnant and vulnerable, conversations are met with someone who talks over you so you don't have a chance to speak even her manager said he can see there's been failings.
this isnt safeguarding and support its finger pointing and just a job to them!

I agree with all of the other reviews. They are extremely corrupt and have caused me, an extremely caring mother, months of emotional harm. I hope, at last, I have found someone helpful. The Child Protection conference was nothing other than a kangaroo court.

Nobody returns calls.

They are a complete waste of taxpayers' money.

Indeed they really are very poor, and I write this as a retired local authority employee, if you are lucky enough to get hold of someone they take down your concerns - this is for someone that we hold power of attorney for - and promise to get back to you later in the day, but they never do - two weeks, and we are still waiting for the return call. I’m also experiencing problems with their invoicing, we only receive reminders and threats of legal proceedings, but we never receive the initial invoice - this has happened with every invoice - they say that it must have got lost in the post.

See my review on Adult Social Care's page I have also found them to lie, make racist assumptions, libel and harass. Both Children's and Adult Social Care though I have met a few decent people over the years working with children as a result of baseless referrals to them of my child bu malicious individuals and busy bodies.

Words alone cannot portray how pitifully inept, corrupt and utterly useless Forest of dean children's services are. The forest of dean is cursed with having what is undoubtedly the worst children's services department in the country, they are a pathetic disgrace. They are beyond hope and redemption. Google 'The tory government that failed it's children' they just get worse and worse!!, scandalous!!!!!

Look out for a upcoming online forum being set up for the public to share information regarding the dangers of dealing with Forest of dean children's services and expose there deep levels of ineptitude and corruption! 😉

Epitome of failure in every single way. They truly know how to let everyone down, whether this is foster carers, kids, or anyone else who encounters them. Absolutely abysmal, and full of bigwigs who have no time for children or those who care for them which is utterly disgraceful.
