I was in Glenfield for a little over 3 weeks after lung reduction surgery. From the second I walked in the staff couldn't do enough . The day of the surgery they were fantastic. Afterwards in ward 26 the staff took my care very seriously indeed . From cleaning staff to the lil old tea lady were perfect . Catering was 100% snacks available 24/7 every person I came across were fantastic .every where spotlessly clean can't praise Glenfield enough . Thank you for a second chance of life

The nurses and nursing assistants are like real life Angels and Professor Garcia and his team are amazing. This is like a private hospital. The only complaint is the food is beyond horrendous. Poorly people need good nutritious food and I wouldn't give my dog the food they serve. Everything else is amazing and thank you for looking after me twice and for being so lovely with my Mum at the end of life.

The Cardiology department are shocking. They misled my Dr when he asked for advice. They arranged an ablation, I had the cannula fitted ready to go into surgery and they cancelled it, saying they had staff shortages. They arranged instead for me to see a consultant, he didn’t seem to think I had a problem, he was very rude but after me arguing back he arranged a stress test. The technician stopped the test saying that she had seen a concerning pattern of ectopic beats. I told them that the consultant didn’t think I had a problem, she replied ‘he will now’, and that they would be in touch urgently. I heard nothing. After a month I contacted them to find out what was happening. The consultant had left and hadn’t done anything with the results. Now I’m in the position of needing a pacemaker, (they had previously told my Dr that I didn’t need one) but Glenfield won’t do it because my BMI is over 25. So I’m in limbo. I have a new Dr now and he’s referred me to Walsgrave in Coventry, they seem to know what they are doing. Note: most of the negative views on here are for the Cardiology department, beware.

Had a referral, was told if I didn’t get braces or any straightening done ontop of treatment I’d need jaw surgery which has a bad recovery rate but then told me I had to fund it myself because didn’t want it done on the NHS. I’m on minimum wage & cannot afford this. Acted like he didn’t care & wanted me out quickly. Was upsetting.

A wonderful hospital, especially the cardiology department. The doctors are excellent, especially a doctor named Arwa Al-Azhari. She was more than wonderful. She informed me about my father’s condition in detail and took excellent care of him. She is truly an angel walking on earth. All appreciation and respect to her and to the entire medical team in department 33A.

I didn't have to wait long to be seen at my appointment time. Efficient staff and a very informative Doctor. The ward could do with a cold water supply machine.
