Gladstones include prescription drug detox on its website. However, it is not equipped to cater for this. On arrival, my BP was taken on a cheap machine that wasn't functioning. They only take your obs for the first 48 hrs, which is fine for alcohol, but not for benzos, which is a lot longer detox. When you're paying this kind of money, one would expect a nurse on site for more than one day a week.
Also, it is not recommended if you have a chronic illness or disability. It's ablelist in construction & attitude.
On the day I was hospitalised, the paramedics put in a safeguarding concern. They were amazed my obs had not been taken that day & the general lack of concern for my welfare surprised them.
However, the support staff are largely respectful, kind & considerate. Gary and Daniella continue to be great assets & a lesson for others in practising compassion & understanding.
The chef accommodated my nutritional requirements well & the night staff were always helpful. Thanks also to Matt for his help & humour.

Brilliant Rehab!!! The therapy is exactly what I needed. The activities are unique and relaxing, for example the weekly equine (horse therapy) trip. You don't feel trapped, and the staff are relaxed and always ready to help you if necessary.

Gladstone's are a small, friendly and in my opinion, outstanding rehab. The rooms are comfortable and private with your own en suite. The service I received from all staff and therapists has put me on my road to recovery. If you want it and apply yourself into their process, you will get the results you need.

What an amazing place. Very welcoming and safe. The therapy sessions are varied and I found them all helpful. Rooms are good, food is amazing and the staff are always on hand to help you. I am so grateful to Gladstones and everything they have done for me and my family. I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the incredible therapy and support I received in my 6 week stay and in the months afterward. Knowing that i could go back for aftercare once I had left made leaving feel much less intimidating, and helped me to stay grounded in recovery. My family took part in the family support groups and found them invaluable as a safe space to find support in a really overwhelming and difficult time. Thanks to them I am now a year clean and sober, and have my family back in my life. I went to Gladstones in April 2022. I was there initially for 4 weeks but decided to do a fifth which made a huge difference. The staff there are fantastic and the experience was really enlightening it changed my life. I went to Gladstones in September 2022 and have been clean and sober since. The therapy is tough but so effective. I have learnt so much about myself and really understand where my drinking and drug using started. I now have weekly sessions of day care helping me stay on track.
