When I read some of the negative reviews regarding Gladstone Medical centre I cannot resonate with them.
I have been with Gladstone for more years than I can remember and never had a bad experience. Being in my dotage has not deterred any member of staff or doctors treating me but with the utmost courtesy . The receptionists are all delightful and always greet you with a smile and ‘Can I help you’ ?
The nurses are always there for advice along with any medical appointments.
I have always found the doctors to be kind and sympathetic to my various medical conditions at any one time and although in my advancing years I have never been made to be a nuisance.

Woke up this morning to somebody asking what do I want! She asked again in a nasty stern tone"WHAT DO YOU WANT" i stated you rang me, and again she asked what do u want. I asked who she was and she stated that she was a doctor. I then advised her she was requested to do a medication review,to which she replied so what is it u want me to do...I told her "a medication review" she stated my medication list and I said I want to keep it as it is, because it's working. She dropped my marol prescription by half instantly and cut call off. I rang back receptionist who didn't have a clue what was going on ( they were nice tbh) doctors not fit for purpose been with them for many many years (back when they cared) now they dont care at all and they are nasty. Would give minus if I could this one star isn't even justifiable.

Receptionists are very helpful and polite. I visited recently to get a repeat prescription and a female G.P. refused to prescribe one of my medications (Salazopyrn) which now has a different name but is the same medication.saying that she had not prescribed it yet gave me my other medications !She said I had to see my consultant at the hospital. I rang my consultants secretary for my medication. The secretary was very nice but did say that GP was in the wrong not to prescribe the medication. The medication states to avoid abrupt withdrawal. I was put through to a nurse at APH who arranged for me to pick up the prescription at APH + she will get in touch with GP to advise to continue prescribing it !!!

Great reception staff, doctors are absolutely dreadful though, they don't want to listen to you and put the phone down on you while your still talking, only been here 2 weeks and most definitely will not be staying. Wouldn't recommend anyone to join here

I had a visit with my son yesterday. The doctor doesn't listen to what I'm saying at all. I have a confirmed illness from a specialist, we can't get a referral to the hospital.

I'd give this drs a negative rating if I could. Took them nine months to tell me I was pre-diabetic. I also had a high white cell count which they failed to tell me about for at least 15 years Fobbed off pain/arthritis symptoms saying and I quote "If you weren't so fat, you wouldn't have a problem"
Went with stomach trouble and the GP actually said they didn't know of any test for lactose intolerance & told me to carry on eating dairy despite the fact it made me so ill. They said I should just suffer the consequences.
I was a member of this practice for almost 36 years, and after being practically ignored and gaslighted by a GP I changed practices.
My new drs has done more for me in two months than this practice did in 36 years

They barely help with anything, and since the COVID the doctors don't want to see anyone. My brother had a shoulder pain because of the heavy physical work he is doing, he called them, the receptionist told him the doctor will call him back. When this happened my brother told the symptoms and the doctor simply asked : "What do you want me to do?" Then my mum had an allergic reaction on her eye, we went to emergency, they prescribed her tablets and eye drops and they told her if they don't help we have to see the GP. A week later the reaction happened again, we called the doctor 8:00 in the morning. They called back 16:00 in the afternoon, the doctor again asked the symptoms, we told her , she simply said " go back to the emergency" and hang up. Horrendous! The receptionists are nice though
