My mum has had to move to Gillibrand Hall Nursing home when her dementia got too severe for her care home. The staff are friendly and helpful, take care of my mum and sit and talk with her.

The Hall has many spacious rooms and common areas. And the high victorian ceilings and and large open common areas make for a pleasant and welcoming environment.

There are many activities to keep the residents occupied and entertained.

Then stsff are always available to provide any information you want and regularly keep me updated on my mum.

Some of the staff have their own elderly parents with dementia at the home which for me speaks volumes of how caring and good it is.

Due to sad circumstances I have had a long relationship with Gillibrand Hall. My father lived there for some years with dementia and my mother followed suffering from mental health problems challenging behaviour and being very frail.
My mother was very difficult to look after and they did an amazing job under the guidance of Cathy the matron. Let's be honest nothing is perfect however it was close and nothing was too much trouble and we were kept informed all the time supported in complicated meetings with social workers and health visitors couldn't have managed without the help thank you

Both my grandparents unfortunately spent their later years with Alzheimer's and both were residents at Gillibrand Hall. The staff here were always helpful and caring. Particularly when it came to my grandma who was more of a challenge for them. Well done to all of the staff!

I have spent a minimum of three hours every day for several weeks now visiting my husband in Gillibrand Hall nursing home and have been pleased with my observations during those visits. The staff are compassionate, conscious, dedicated, and friendly to both residents and their families. My husband has dementia plus other problems and is being very well cared for, hence, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this home to anyone in similar circumstances.

Very sad to see the mocking of your elderly residents on the news tonight. The reason people are angry is because we trust and hope that the carers look after our parents when family members are not about, so when you see them mocking them like this it instills fear about what else is really going on behind closed doors. To then stoop so low and post it on social media sites beggars belief. I would be worried with a parent in this home.
