Things are on the up the staff are friendly and there are more doctors available, I'm not keen on the website triage for appointments I suppose that's the new norm. But the care you get from the doctors and nurses is very good and generally you can get an urgent appointment on the same day..

I do like this doctors surgery. You will find it hard to find a better doctors in my opinion

I am really surprised at the negative reviews. We have been with the practice for around a year and have always had excellent service from both the staff and the doctors. The practice is very accommodating for children at any time of day. There is undoubtedly the difficult issue of having to be on the phone by 7.59am at the latest and calling incessantly if you want an appointment (not ideal if you have work or are taking children to school) but this is universal now and in my experience I have always been able to get an appointment when I have needed it. You are also able to hold your place in the phone queue and get a call back when you are at the top which is helpful. Referrals, prescriptions and follow ups have always been dealt with promptly. The GPs are thorough and comprehensive and I have always found the staff on the telephone to be helpful and courteous.

We have been registered with Gatley Medical Centre for 4 years now. In the past year, as a family we have required their services on several occasions. I have always found all the staff to be very helpful and professional. I really can not fault them. We are grateful that they have been there for us whenever we have needed them. Thank you to all of the team for providing excellent care especially during the pandemic.

I guess i am a grumpy old chap. I do not like change. But i booked a appointment on behalf of my 94 years young neighbour for a covid booster this morning. They were busy ... I had pressed the option for call back. Wow i had a lovely surprise and the lady who called me back was wonderful, patient, and sounded very happy and most of all very helpful. I have been a patient for many years, and have found the staff to be awesome especially dealing with a grump like me. New Doctors and staff have appeared replacing those who have retired.
Gatley, is a very busy health centre, and i have a lot of respect for the staff. Being busy means sometimes they may appear to be abrupt, but they have to see so many people and at times appointments may over run as they are dealing with a patient who is going through some horrible condition or health complication.
On the whole i give Gatley 5* because i have met some staff who are passionate about patient care, and a number of times from a simple consultation i have been admitted to Hospital for surgery.
I am very happy with the team, and if i was not you would know about it. In all fairness its nice to give and recieve postive feedback. Also just tell the practice manager if your not happy so she can look into it and respond to you.
Thanks again to all the staff, you are all appreciated more than you know.

Very frustrated when i went for my appoitment last Friday, all the tech was down,so i couldnt have my appoiment as they coudnt get access to my notes. I had alot of things to talk about to the GP. The receptionist said that the surgery would be in touch as soon as normal service was resumed. I understand that things go wrong, but they should have a backup, for emergencies just like this. Pen and paper would suffice.

Always check before giving blood test.
I went today for fasting blood test. First Nurse asked if I had eaten or drank anything, I said water because last nurse told me to drink water before coming for test as it helps getting blood. She said, I am not sure about that let me check with my colleague. She then came back after consultation and said its ok. Took blood from my left arm. I asked ps confirm what it is for? She said its for cholesterol. I said no it was supposed to be for Triglycerides. She was confused then checked on computer and said, sorry you see, we don't tend to read notes and generally go for title (it was very alarming, i was dealt by a professional medic who didn't know what she was doing and what for). She then said I can do HBC with your other arm. She tried and said its not visible sorry I have to go back to your left arm again. Then put another needle in my left arm and job was done. Unfortunately, this centre uses either lokum or part time staff as this is not the first incident with me. Sad part is there is no point of complaining as management is not independent and do whitewash plus you never know outcome of your complaint. My advice to all would be to check details of your supposed to be test with nurse before she puts needle in your arm. It takes away your confidence and trust in them. All you will get is "Sorry"
