Only leaving 1 star as there is no option to leave a zero! The least helpful reception staff I have ever encountered, managed by a patronising, disingenuous practice manager who clearly sets the tone. Almost impossible to get an appointment in less than 4 weeks (5 if you want your named GP) I was sent into the surgery with stage 3 hypertension (never had high blood pressure before) by the pharmacist next door who had just taken my blood pressure of more than 144 over 100!!! Was ignored by the receptionist, who could barely be bothered taking the note from the pharmacist and who then decided that it was not worth passing to an actual doctor. Only intervention by a paramedic got me to see a.doctor who then told me that "millions of people walk round with high blood pressure and that if a man in a mask with an axe banged on the window both of our blood pressure would go really high" GP then went onto say exactly the opposite of the BHF cardiac nurse " i dont think your symptoms are anything to do with high blood pressure" but 1 week on hasnt bothered to tell me what they are to do with, let alone make me an appointment. Worst service I've ever encountered in the nhs.

This is by far the best doctors surgery I have ever used. We transferred to here about 9 months ago and the service is absolutely brilliant. Even the receptionists are pleasant! Moving to Garswood Surgery is the best decision I have made. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was sent here today to have blood tests because knowsley & st Helens phlebotomy are in disarray, anyway currently being investigated for bowel cancer as they found a bit of blood in my stool sample.....I suppose when can only say so much. I am an open book kind of bloke, but suffer with PTSD and after the nhs letting me down yet again! Donna the phlebotomy nurse could see I was in melt down, she sprung into action & bent over backwards to help me. She really is a shining example of mutual respect.
