What a difference a change of GP surgery makes. You can always get through on the phone and speak to a receptionist. You can book an on-the-day appointment by ringing at 8am. You can book a future appointment, usually with only a short wait. The receptionists are always kind and helpful. I usually see Dr Ajayi who is a very understanding GP. He takes time to listen and explains things very clearly. Excellent service all round from Garden City!

My son who has learning difficulties, saw the nurse today, 19th February 2025. He came home in a state as the nurse was not sympathetic and didn't listen to him. She blurted out, YOU NEEED TO GO TO A & E which put the fear of God in him. I'm seriously thinking of putting an official complaint in.

With all the bad press about GP surgeries I thought it was important I leave a honest review about Garden City.
I’ve been registered with them for a number of years now, with recently having seen both Dr Ajeyi, and nurse practitioner Sue Goggins.
They are both fantastic, kind and caring and can tell they genuinely want to help, which makes the world of difference.
The reception team are also brilliant and very helpful.
I couldn’t recommend the whole practice and team enough!

My 9 year old has been coughing for three weeks.she can't sleep for coughing and has been really unwell. She coughs all night and we were advised by the nurse practitioner to give her antihistamines. I don't really feel her problem was taken seriously by the nurse. She insulted my daughter's name within a few minutes of the appointment which I think she thought was her being amusing. Next time I am going to insist on her being seen by a qualified doctor. I was under the impression that we were booked to see the doctor on the phone.

Recently changed to this surgery from a different local surgery. The difference in being able to get an appointment etc within a timely period compared to my last surgery has vastly improved. Very lucky to have a surgery like this, very accommodating to patient needs, who understands you. Staff are very friendly and professional. Did witness a demanding patient when I came in and the staff handles the situation very well.

Much improved GP surgery over the past months. Able to get through after a few rings to a bunch of very nice caring receptionists. The Doctors ring when they say they will also and generally on the same day. Excellent practice manager Nicola who really cares about the patients. Would hope more future face to face consultation as time goes on. Thank you Garden City, carry on with the good work.
