After an issue with a third party voucher company, we were fully expecting to be turned away but the receptionist/manager worked tirelessly to ensure we were able to have our Spa day by contacting the third party company on our behalf. The treatments were very relaxing, all the facilities were clean and tidy and to finish, the cream tea was delicious. Would highly recommend this spa, it’s sad to see other negative of reviews as this didn’t match our experience in the slightest.

Cricklade fritillary spa is the most basic, unfriendly spa I’ve ever been. Upon my arrival after an extremely long drive across the country, the receptionist was very rude and stern and ignored us for about 10 minutes and made us feel like we were disturbing her. The customer service was appalling. There was no relaxing vibe in the reception area. No music throughout the spa.
It has a very small pool ( approx 4 people can be in it ) and no hydro pool which is a major disappointment considering that’s usually standard in any spa.
The changing facilities were tiny! With only two small benches to get change on and if there’s more than 3 people in the changing room it’s very over crowded. Although the facilities and pool area were fairly clean they lack the sense of luxury and sophistication in which is advertised , with dirty marked loungers , dirty windows and unkept walls. The robe and towels we were given, both were damp and shabby and were of all sorts of material and colour (none matched)
The attention to detail in this spa is very drab.

When it came to the time for our treatment , The receptionist was also the masseuse and had somewhat livened up and was more accommodating however mentioned on at least 3 occasions we were late at the start of the day which was somewhat irritating, the massage was good, relaxing and had nice music which gave a pleasant ambiance which unfortunately was not mirrored throughout the rest of the spa area , our massage was also cut short of 5 minutes (apparently because we were running late at the start of the day).
The included Cream tea provided by the attached hotel was the best part of the day. A later time for the cream tea was offered but we declined, as an hour is long enough for use of the facilities on offer in the spa.
I would not recommend this spa venue to anyone that wants a relaxing spa experience.

Great spa day, lovely receptionist who also provided our massage and it was very relaxing. Pool, sauna and steam room area small but clean, We had the spa day package which included a cream tea which was delicious. Would 100% recommend

Absolutely wonderful. The spa I'd booked for friends birthday cancelled last minute - this spa managed to accommodate us last minute. Fabulous staff, spotless facility, great value and beautiful setting. I will be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon xxxx
