Hope feels like it left Freeman Street Market some time ago. Aside from a really good retro vinyl record shop which is worth a visit the wider market and street feels run down and neglected. The area is also not that safe which is worth being aware of when visiting. I happen to look like a bit of a thug myself so I was ok but I'd not recommend randomly walking around in the area if you can avoid it. Many former shops are boarded up etc. I was hoping that given the area is located there would be a superb range of fishmongers including here but the only crabs and lobsters on display were plastic ones, although there was was a limited selection of fish also available.... Hard to recommend this one. Major investment needed.

A fantastic market,with some lovely food stalls, fresh veg and meat, also a selection of local stalls from crystals to clothes,and plants to vintage items.

I love the crystal stall and the one that sale incense sticks and cones, and all the others butchers, fishmonger, vegs etc. It's a lively place with very interesting stalls and heritage, and friendly people

This market is amazing, The butchers have great quality products , The fruit and veg stalls are colourful with amazing products , there are also different varieties of stalls …. So go check it out !!!

Used local cafe for breakfast... Decent service.. Eggs a little over cooked.. But value for money..
