I stayed here on a spa overnight stay with my nan, mum and auntie. I had a lovely time to hotel room was lovely and clean. Spacious. We had a lovely day in the spa the treatments were amazing. I had. Neck shoulder and back massage from Jess who was brilliant my auntie had Elouise who she said was amazing too! We had dinner in the restaurant in the evening and the staff were so friendly especially Avani. I believe she went above and beyond for us and made our experience delightful. Overall, the staff are really friendly the place is clean the amenities are good. I would recommend. My only moan I would say is I booked the room for 3 and it had things for 2 people in and when we asked for extra tea and sugar at reception they were a little stingey.

Room was nice. States I'd had a coffee machine but it didn't. Bathroom was basic and not luxury.
Spa was open til 9, but was also basic. Not many lounge beds and the jacuzzi steam and sauna rooms were always full with golfers.
The food was horrible. Not much choice to begin with for evening meals and what was served, looked like it had been catapulted onto out plates. I had the Lemon tart for pudding but the pastry was thick and gluey, and the lemon was about 2mm thick and left a film in my mouth. The chef should be ashamed allowing that to leave the kitchen.
The hot breakfast wasnt much better.
For the price and the reputation this place has, what we experienced was such a disappointment.
We wont be returning

Attended a recent work / business event here and although the building is clean, and surrounded by a beautiful rural setting it's actually a pain to get to from the motorway. What I can't forgive though is the lunch in a brown bag. A choice of either ham and mustard sandwich or coronation chicken.. Neither are 100% people pleasing or attractive to the majority. I don't eat mustard or mayo so I looked in the bag and there was an apple, a packet of prawn cocktail crisp and a warm bottle of water. YUK.... how does a hotel get away with a brown bag offering with an apple and crisp... it took me 3 hours to get there for this..... a bag of walkers crisp WHAT!!!! To top that off they didn't give you anywhere to sit ( no eatery) so I had to stand in the reception leaning against a post with this pathetic offering of lunch. My advice is to prepare.. take your own food, a foldable chair, oh and when leaving the queue is ridiculous because the security gate is broken so prepare to sit in a long line of cars until a golfing regular leaves his car to let reception know it's broken.. Sorry I won't recommend this venue.

Interesting establishment. The reception staff were polite and friendly.
The slight letdown was the food.
I'm not sure why they put salt and pepper on the table when the chef believes he needs to use his quota of salt and kill the chips. But the steak was lovely. Also, do note that when you purchase your food in advance from the menu. There are additional charges for quite a few products from the inclusive set menu.
If no one comes along so you can pay your bill, just head for reception, and you can settle it up there.
Fortunately, I will not have to go there again for some time.

The Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club is nestled within a picturesque golf course, offering well-maintained grounds that provide stunning views of sunrises and sunsets. The hotel boasts two 18-hole golf courses—the Championship Arden Course and the Aylesford Course—set amidst ancient woodlands and natural lakes, making it a premier golf destination in the UK.

However, the hotel’s interior requires attention. The rooms are in need of renovation, with cleanliness issues such as dust accumulation under furniture and worn bedding. The bathrooms were inadequately stocked, with toiletries that appeared previously used. Additionally, the in-room televisions were of poor quality, with connectivity features that were non-functional, limiting entertainment options.

The corridors often had room service trays left unattended for extended periods, and many door frames appeared battered, detracting from the overall aesthetic. In contrast, the reception area is well-decorated, and the staff there are attentive and responsive.

The hotel’s bar and restaurant staff, despite being numerous, seemed disorganised, leading to slow service. A notable issue was the shortage of glassware, causing staff to frequently search the kitchen, further delaying service. While the bar is well-stocked with a variety of beverages, the service inefficiencies suggest a need for staff training and process improvements.

In summary, while the Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club offers a beautiful setting and excellent golfing facilities, improvements in room maintenance, cleanliness, and service efficiency are necessary to enhance the overall guest experience.

We recently stayed here and had an overall lovely experience. The rooms are a bit dated, but the beautiful grounds and excellent service more than made up for it. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it extra special with thoughtful, personal touches that made us feel so welcome.

One of the highlights was definitely the spa. Natalie, in particular, made sure my experience was exceptional—she even tailored my treatment to ensure I was as relaxed as possible, which was truly appreciated.

The restaurant food was decent and the staff are lovely and the driving range was a great spot for beginners like us to practice our swing. All in all, a memorable stay with attentive service and beautiful surroundings. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!

The rooms were lovely and warm until we woke up in the morning feeling cold, as the windows weren't closed properly. The bathroom had plaster missing around the light, fire doors on the first weren't closing. As per the website description that swimming was available 6am to 9pm got to the pool that 8pm to 9pm on a Sunday was for adults only no mention on the website about this..

Friendly and attentive staff, lovely facilities and delicious food!

We ended up staying here unexpectedly after being let down by another hotel and were sooo pleased that we ended up here. From when you first walk into the hotel to check out, we couldn't fault our experience. The free use of the spa facilities was amazing and the breakfast we superb. The food was hot and fresh, and there was such a large choice. The rooms are spacious and comfy and the grounds are lovely for a walk.
Thank you for making what was a rubbish beginning to our weekend so lovely!
