The individuals I have met including reception staff, midwives and doctors have in the best part been lovely and professional, so I’m not sure where it all goes wrong. I’ve had prescriptions never go through, when they do they are for discontinued drugs or the wrong amount. I’ve had midwife appointments cancelled and had to go to get my newborn weighed at a drop in which meant a 2 hour wait, and then my baby’s weight wasn’t recorded so when the health visitor next came it became clear that had been a pointless trip on my part. That meant she had to schedule another visit to make up for it. I’ve had a 111 appointment booked where I’ve checked in on the screen when I arrive and waited in the waiting room for over and hour and a half before being told there are no doctors to see. The system hadn’t recorded my appointment. This was with a 3 week old baby in tow. I’ve tried to register other family members online to be told by the system that our postcode isn’t covered, despite the fact that I’m registered. The list goes on. My belief is that these are all ‘system issues’ and this is not feedback on the individuals working there. Still, a nightmare. Luckily outside of being pregnant and having a newborn my need for a doctor has always been extremely infrequent. Heaven help those with chronic conditions that require ongoing management.

I have a few health conditions, some of them discovered while being a patient here. I am always listened to and have been referred to specialists.
The only downside recently is no appointments available to book online or within a few weeks unless it's urgent. But that is the same everywhere, so it isn't a complaint towards this gp surgery.

Absolutely awful surgery.

Had a blood test appointment at 9:20, and rang up on my way to say I would be 5-10 minutes late which the lady on the phone said was “completely fine as long as I’m here within the 10 minutes”. I turned up at 9:23 to which the sign in board didn’t work and the lady on reception took 5 minutes to sign me in on the computer.

After 20 minutes of waiting, I was told I have to rebook or go to Gloucester Royal for my blood test as I didn’t sign in until 9:28!! Which was their fault for taking so long, and i made a 45 minute journey just for this appointment!

No regard for anyone and I’m absolutely appalled by the way I was treated. When the only reason I was over the 5 minute bracket for time was because of their own staff!! Ridiculous

As a retired practice nurse I write as I see. Myself and my partner have never had a problem seeing someone when it’s been necessary. I find all the staff courteous and helpful. They all do their very difficult jobs to the best of their abilities. They do not make the rules !!!

I've been here 4 times in the last few months and each time the reception staff have been helpful in getting me in. I've not seen any doctors but each of the practice nurses have been brilliant

Most staff are lovely and helpful, however there are a couple of doctors who are very dismissive and rude about situations. Once had a 3 minute (yes 3 whole minutes!!!) “appointment” where the doctor dismissed most of what I said. Apart from that nice GPS and receptionists

Patronising, unprofessional, rude female doctor, initials (PH), who missed diagnosed me. Made me feel uncomfortable and inadequate. I will ensure I don't see her next time I visit this surgery. Awful experience.

I was redirected to Forest Health Care by my regular surgery for same day appointment.
Great service, seen by Practice Nurse who confirmed chest infection which is now being treated.
Brilliant local NHS service
