I recently had a knee replacement so needed care for my disabled wife.We started making contact with Focus 8 weeks before my operation.The time went by with 2 cancelled assessment appointments and one which the lady in question claimed to have attended and rung our doorbell. We own 2 dogs which never made a sound.We rang the next day and was told the lady did attend and to prove she said we have a large holly tree in the front garden.Well we haven’t so she obviously went to the wrong house.Anyway she said she would be in touch to arrange another visit.We’ve heard nothing since until today ( 2 weeks after my surgery )Luckily we hired a private company in time.If this is the standard of service from Focus I think we had a lucky escape.Pathetic.

This is north east lincs so the council outsource social care to concentrate on paving shopping areas that have died and are full of pound shops and betting shops and champion a bus station for 20 years that we don't need and still haven't got anyway, like the football stadium and cinema we didn't get either. People nobody knows until local election time.

How many of the 160 employees are support workers? Ha ha ha. As if any of them are hands on carers lol, carers are the heartbeat of social care and social workers are the glorified admin (but don't work nearly as hard as the admin).

they work looking after my grandmother, all the employees do is sit-in my nans bedroom
they are supposed to be helping her at Albany court but my sick(cancer stricken) mother who has mobility issues has to pick up the slack for the job they are supposed to be doing
when we complain they give us attitude and become passive aggressive, punishing a sick elderly frail women for things she is unaware of as she has a mental illness and is almost 80
I know somewhere there is a human rights violation or something
your employees behaviour is disgusting
when I was a support worker dealing with spectrum adults
cleaning the bed, making food, cleaning a toilet and washing cloths was part of the job
emptying a bin or two and throwing away bad food
how is that too much to ask?

I have bad experience with them I cant tell you what they done for legal reasons but they are not trained on p3oples health they are not doctors

I agree with you Mr right, it is a pointless outfit.. I had to apologise for being severely disabled, some of the staff (on the phone).. Do have an attitude problem.
