I did a bespoke course with Flying Fish (STCW, VHF Radio, Powerboat Level 2 and PDSD) after a friend recommended them to me. Before booking my course, I had insightful phone calls with both Mishel and Sarah to ensure this was the right course for me, and to answer any hesitations and queries I had. It’s safe to say, I had the most memorable, fun, educational and soul-uplifting 10 days in a long time. The instructors were all so passionate and knowledgeable within their fields. I felt prepared and safe in both the sea survival and fire fighting training. The course was made to provide you with the essential skills and knowledge but in a fun and exciting way. There was a good balance of theory and practical which made the course engaging. Aside from the course itself, the accommodation exceeded my expectations, everyone on the team was super friendly, and Cowes itself is simply a beautiful place to complete your training. I would recommend this course to absolutely anyone thinking of starting out in the yachting industry. You really do make amazing connections, lifelong friends, and memories you’ll cherish forever! Thank you Flying Fish for providing me with the foundations to hopefully kickstart my career⭐️🛥️

Wow, what an amazing introduction into the yachting world. I did the 2 week Deckhand and STCW course which was well worth the investment. We were accompanied by some fantastic and knowledgeable instructors that really show their love for the industry. If you’re on the fence about doing this course then all I can say is go for it. You will love every second and wish it never ended. Best thing I’ve done for a while now and can’t wait to get stuck into this industry!

I’ve just finished my STCW and Stewardess course with Flying Fish in Cowes and had such a great experience! From day one, everyone was really welcoming and friendly.

Sarah and Colette ran the stewardess training and they were honestly lovely. They made the course fun, informative, and gave us a great insight into what to expect when starting out in the industry. The STCW course was taught by a mix of instructors, all really knowledgeable and supportive. Everything was really well-organised and professional. Accommodation was great too – comfy, clean, and had everything I needed during my stay. I would 100% recommend Flying Fish to anyone looking to get started in the industry. Such a positive and supportive place to learn!
