I'd like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff at Field House for taking such good care of my lovely nan during the last 3 years of her life. She always seemed to be doing nice things despite her advanced dementia and we had regular photos and updates on what she'd been up to.

We lost my nan yesterday and the kindness and compassion from all of the staff during the last week of her life has gone above and beyond.

You've all been so supportive at such a difficult time and it's been reassuring to see how much my nan was genuinely cared about. Thank you all.

We were so lucky to find this fantastic care home after many bad experiences with our moms care we moved her in to field house the improvement in her health and happiness was remarkable she put on weight she was always in clean nice clothes she was laughing and joking again she had colour in her face the many UTIs followed by falls which we thought were a part of growing old disappeared completely she didnt have any UTIs or falls in the whole time at field house
The grounds and gardens are fantastic and the staff try to get the residents out as much as possible there was no sitting infront of the tv all day she participated in many activities and made lots of friends
They had no covid infections throughout the pandemic and the staff made it as easy as possible to visit her behind a screen in the orangery
The management and staff really do care about detail even asking us what food she likes how she cuts her hair and asked about her history her likes and dislikes and post many pictures on facebook so family can be kept informed
Louise and the staff gave my mom the best possible last year of her life even at the end they made sure she was comfortable and looked after and went out of there way to make sure all the family despite covid had access to her

My husband has dementia and has been at Field House for 3.5 years. I have never known him so content. It's thanks to ALL the wonderful staff who have a really supportive management team. The owners really do care and are always looking for ways to improve the home. Top marks to Field House

My Nan was a resident at fieldhouse for around 9 months. She came from a previous home in which ive come to realise wasnt up to scratch, so thanks to field for setting standards for all other homes. Field is an amazing home in which everyone goes above and beyond. She had a lovely bond with all the carers which was lovely to see! She gained weight, looked well groomed and always had clean clothes and a smile on her face. Although, she suffered with dementia the carers never patronized or got snappy with her, they were all very patient. Youre always welcome to visit even during the pandemic. Nan always raved about the food and how much she was allowed! Not only is the house and surroundings stunning but they really care about every resident. Birthday parties, pandemic parties, socials at the pub they have every activity you can think of ... It came to a point my nan had a better social life than me!! I would be more than happy to have anyone go into field if needed and will recommend to everyone I can. Thanks to everyone at field for looking after my nan so well and keeping us informed of everything along the way!!

Too many staff leaving, They are not there long enough to get to know the residents, and always looks they are short staffed. No solid recreational activities set out for the residents to do and I found it quite a depressing atmosphere in the regular visits i have made in the last 6 month of the 3 years i have been visiting. I will say the refurbishment to the home is a great improvement to what it was before. When there is a Birthday for someone in residence there is no Birthday cards given out from the management and staff.

BEWARE THE HIDDEN CHARGES!!
My mother was resident at Field House from July 2019 until she passed away in March this year. Firstly, I will put on record that Stuart, the centre manager, was always very helpful, polite and considerate. As were the centre staff too (Liz, in particular, always afforded time for us when we visited). However, I have given a poor review due to the charging of unnecessary costs by the owners. You pay one month in advance. For March, we had paid nearly £4000 for the ongoing care costs of my mother. However, my mother was taken into hospital on 8th March. She sadly passed away on 19th March. I had been in communication with staff during this time and, on that Tuesday, I called to advise of the sad news. Everyone was really nice and said everything would be left in the room until we came to clear it. Which we did, on Saturday 23rd. However, I was firstly upset to receive an email of incidental charges the day after she had passed away. And secondly, in the small print of T&Cs, there was to be levied a reparations charge upon vacating the room, based on length of stay. Bearing in mind that my mother was chair bound most of the time she was there, I'm not quite sure what damages they think she may have caused. So, on reconciliation of the March account, we were charged up to and including 23rd, and then topped off with a reparations charge and offered an insulting £28 refund of our near £4000 paid for the month. To say it incensed both me and my wife would be an understatement. We feel we were fleeced and cannot recommend a place where charges aren't transparent.

Appalling "care" home. My father was only in the beds for assessment part of the home for 3 days and fell out of bed breaking his hip. Bed rails were not used. Patients are left to their own devices. Patients look dirty with stained clothes and there is also signs of bullying between residents. No staff were seen on duty on the 3 days we visited.

I have had the pleasure of getting to know the owners of Field House Residential Care Home in a professional capacity and I am can safely say that they are great operators.
