We recently had a friend staying at Fernhill House Care Home for a few of weeks. The hotel side of the home worked well, also the housekeeping and kitchen staff very efficient. The so called entertainment was very poor and designed towards junior school or SMI level.
The care side of the home was non existent, they didn't follow the care plan then lied about it and falsified the paperwork to cover themselves. It was a box ticking exercise to satisfy/con the Care Quality Commission.
If you are looking for a care home please read the up to date CQC report.
I would NOT recommend Fernhill House Care Home for anyone that needs to be cared for.

Wonderful home that my Mum has been so fortunate to have lived in for over 6 years now!
The lovely care staff have been with her for every stage of her illness and she has always felt comfortable and loved.
She used to love the activities and a small sherry in the bistro and now in recent years enjoyed the tranquility of her room and kind attention of the Nursing team.

Fernhill House is a beautiful home, full of love and laughter! The gardens and trees are fabulous. The home is certainly worth a visit, even if you just want to have a look around and enjoy a cup of tea!

Lovely home, very well thought out and designed, which will enable residents to live a fully life. All the care staff are so friendly, welcoming and they put dignity and respect at the heart of everything they do. Dreadful to deliver here , on average 15-20 mins wait !
Josephine is atrocious n abusive to delivery drivers. I Wonder how they take care of elders if thats how they treat drivers
