After using the Dog Boarding facilities at Ferne . I must express how impressed I was.
Extremely friendly caring staff .
Huge Kennels and runs with underfloor heating.
Our Dog walked for 60 minutes also had free time in the secure paddocks and then cuddle time on the sofa.
Absolutely clean and no smell whatsoever.
After working in Boarding kennels for many years myself , I would not hesitate to recommend Ferne and will be more than happy to use the kennels again.

Had a lovely afternoon here with my husband and dog. Super friendly staff and a well mapped out circuit to follow to make sure that you see everything. Lots of information posters doted around and animals including pigs, goats, geese, ferrets, chinchillas, rabbits and tortoises. Also a children's play area and picnic tables and benches to sit on. Gift shop has a variety of merchandise including toys, food items and pet items at reasonable prices. Lovely cafe on site too that is clean and well presented and where we had a generous sized sandwich and sides followed by a delicious warm scone with jam and cream. Vegan and Gluten free options available too. Dogs on leads allowed everywhere including the cafe.

We used ferne cattery for a long weekend. Staff were really friendly and approachable. There was a quick health check on drop off and pick up, and we had an update upon collection. Lovely people, will be using them again.

What can I say? Phenomenal site which only improves every time I visit. It's been a few years and you can see the love and dedication the staff have for the animals and the site

Animals were all happy and had tons of space to live - all appropriate enclosures and great amounts of information and education about the animals there and animals in general

Worth the detour and a breath of fresh air after having visited a very different Sanctuary earlier in the day

Lovely place to visit. The animals have great accomodation and are well looked after. Suitable trip for the whole family and very affordable. Children's play area and a cafe too. Highly recommended.

How this place calls itself an animal sanctuary, housing rescued animals, when their menu is heavy on meat products, I'll never know! Their menu contains 'food' such as sausage, ham, bacon, dairy, eggs, chicken, etc. Selling flesh from the same animal groups they rescue! For example 7 of their residents are pigs, yet their menu contains pig meat, which is well known that pigs have an horrendous life from birth and are killed in gas chambers. Plus they have cows, and cows are terribly exploited for their milk! List goes on. Weird mixed messages from this place which doesn't seem to align with their ethics. Saving animals whilst supporting and funding the meat and dairy industry is morally wrong.

We all enjoy are time today at ferne animal sanctuary it was great to read the little story about the animal history some sad but all with Happy ending 😀 it was very well keep we will return hopefully with the sun 🌞

Amazing as usual. Haven't been in a while due to covid but there's been lots of changes and looks lovely.
Welcoming staff as usual, animals well looked after and happy.
This place has been a family favourite of ours for a long time! Our chicken obsessed toddler could barely contain herself but the free range chickens were a great opportunity for her to learn how to respect them and give them some space.
