Appalling customer service. Very long waits on the phone to book appointments (> 30 mins).

I was very nervous about this appointment, having read the reviews here. However, the staff and doctors were all absolutely lovely. I had a very easy, friendly and helpful appointment. I cannot state enough how helpful the Doctor was especially. I received exceptional service, polar opposite to that described in earlier reviews.

Awful. As someone else said, utter shambles. Had to have tests while in the same room as someone else so all your personal information can be heard. My father said he couldn't concentrate on reacting to the machine because of the talking behind the next curtain. Running 45 minutes late and not a word of apology from the man my father saw. Utterly robotic, no personality, not kind to my elderly father even when he told him my mother had died. Not one word of sympathy. That's not even normal on a human level. He was highly rude, suggested my dad forgot to put his eye drops in, which he never does. Horrible horrible man that needs to have courses in being pleasant to people. When I asked him to slow down and be patient with him as he struggles to hear as his good hearing aids got broken by a nurse when he was in hospital, he started waving his hand at me, and when I said no you will let me finish he stormed off in a huff.

I went to Evolutio today for eye tests& was referred by Specsavers. Lovely staff& doctors, very polite and professional. Hardly waited until I was seen. Efficient and friendly. Excellent service.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service at Evolutio in Ipswich. I was referred to this "couldn't care less" outfit in 2021 by my local NHS eye service. I I have had two previous visits to them in 2021 and 2022. In 2023 I received a telephone appointment for a follow up examination on the 10 June 2023. I was dropped off by my wife and walked to the building in central Ipswich that I had attended on the two previous occasions. The building was closed and a notice on the door informed me that they had moved to different premises in Ipswich on the 1 Feb 2023.

Nothing had been said to me that they had moved to different premises - no follow up calls, no text reminders, no letter and no emails. NOTHING.

Not being a native of Ipswich and not going into the town very often I wasn't sure if I knew where the new address was, but I thought I remembered where the street name given on the note was located, so I walked to where I thought their offices where located. It took me 30 minutes walking, on the hottest day of the year so far, in an attempt to find their new offices. I was 25 minutes late for my original appointment but I assumed the office would still be manned. I was wrong. It was closed at 2:45 pm.
I am 79 years of age in a couple of weeks and I have been made to walk quite a long way on a very hot day - all for nothing. All of my discomfort and effort to attend this examination would have been avoided if this company had anything resembling a decent attitude to customer service, for example by sending a reminder of the appointment by telephone, text, email or letter a day or two beforehand. Even giving a telephone number that can be used to verify an appointment before setting off (as I tried to do) would be useful. The only telephone number I have for the company is a number for their head office - but that only works on Monday to Friday - my appointment was on a Saturday 🙁

Overall this company is a very poor company for the NHS to use. The NHS should cancel their contract with them immediately and replace them with a company that has a positive attitude to customer service.

Got booked for an appointment the same day I called and I was seen exactly on time. The clinician was super friendly and I got my medication from them directly. Very rare level of service in the UK

Complete shambles.

No-one ever answers the phone at Ipswich and having been promised a call back today, I had to ring to check and was told that they would have to reschedule for next week.

Go elsewhere and save your self a lot of hassle.
