I have been going to Dee for several years but thought I’d live Alan a try now there is a new room for him and more availability, I booked in for a tension release massage for 30 minutes as a first go with Alan. It was excellent. I didn’t know how I’d feel at first changing from Dee who I am very comfortable with, but he was friendly, professional and explained what he was doing really well.
The pressure he gave with his hands alone was great (I can withstand a lot of pressure) and I was not disappointed.
I’ve booked in for a much longer session next time and must say both Alan and Dee are very knowledgeable at what they do and give an excellent service. So much so, I call them “the body fixers”.
I have no hesitation using Alan after an excellent first go.
Ps the new facilities are excellent.

I booked in a massage with Alan as I was struggling with shoulder and neck pain as well as lower back niggles. Alan was extremely professional and knowledgeable and explained everything really thoroughly. The treatment itself was both relaxing and effective as it targeted the underlying source of my issues. I visited essential calm for the first time today and can say it’s the best massage I’ve ever had. Dee and Alan greeted me warmly and were lovely. Alan was very knowledgeable and I found the whole experience relaxing while also informative. Definitely will be booking again!

Very professional, thorough, and clearly knows exactly what he is talking about.
Excellent massage targeting the exact areas that needed attention.

I had the most wonderful treatment with Dee. I was made to feel comfortable and relaxed straight away, with Dee’s friendly approach and their studio is so tranquil. Dee is extremely passionate about her work, and very professional too. She talked me through everything and explained why she did what she did. I can’t wait to book my next treatment! I was quite hesitant about attending as I've never had a massage before. Alan was friendly and reassuring from the outset and throughout.

As we discussed my issues and where they may stem from Alan shared his opinions and knowledge and explained what treatment would work best for me.

While there's no quick fix I do feel it has helped me and I've already rebooked. I would highly recommend those skeptical to give it a try.

I struggled with back pain for 10+ years and found no treatment relieved any pain until I met Dee over a year ago. Dee caters each session to my needs to get the best result, to the point I am now pain free! I've also struggled with dermatitis on my face for as long as I can remember, but when Dee did a mini facial for me in one of my sessions it completely changed! Listening to my skin concerns, Dee recommended the most suitable Tropic skincare products which I could now not go without. I feel so much better in myself and so grateful to Dee for taking a genuine interest to listen and help. I feel very comfortable and instantly relaxed when visiting Essential Calm. Visited Essential Calm for the first time today and I will definitely be returning. I was made to feel very welcome and relaxed immediately by both Dee and Alan, I then had a 90 minute full body massage with Alan. The treatment was by far one of the best I have ever had, I left feeling relaxed, calm and re-energized. Lovely space and fantastic service ?
