Every time I’ve contacted the surgery for an appointment I’ve been offered one within the next few days or the same day. Doctors are friendly I had a consultation with Dr Akinyosoye and she was very helpful and caring.

I went to Elmdene surgery today, and despite the reviews on here, I couldn’t disagree more with the comments about the hard working receptionist they had in. (I will refer to the receptionist as A) A, was very helpful, compassionate and understanding towards me today, something I am very grateful for and can’t thank her enough for all her help.
These services, the NHS as a whole, are under pressure across the board and I feel for all of them. Let’s try to be kind!!

I have noticed a naughty behaviour and culture at this surgery! The receptionist are unfriendly, angry and unpleasant (especially to groups of people). Some of the staff are rude, harsh, and gang up on the customer; which lets it down for the good staff. More empathy is needed and if staff can not offer this or can not be professional; they shouldn't be there.

Only 1 doctor on duty so obviously running behind. Sitting in the waiting room I was able to hear everything they were saying in the consultation room.
The Doctor was great and so were the receptionists.
The whole GP system needs review not the individuals.

Got to leave this doctors now , I cannot believe the leave of incompetence . Waiting 5 days for a prescription with 2 items on it which was then told was sent to the wrong place and was down to me to go and retrieve it. When I tracked it down I then found out only 1of the items was done and I would have to wait longer to get my meds. I phoned the doctors again who told me they could not rectify the mistake as had no doctors on site are qualified to sign prescriptions . What a total farce !!!! This is not a one off either, how can a surgery be ran like this

It is impossible to get through for an appointment. Yesterday it took 57 attempts to get through & by that time all appointments had gone. Receptionist was rude her tone unpleasant & i felt like how dare i call to see a dr. Today i have given up trying to call after 76 attempts of an engaged line! Whilst i like Dr's Bora & Shetty the receptionists ( almost all of) let the surgery down & appointment system is a nightmare. Another day of pain i do not relish....walk in centre needed now which is absolute madness.

Awful service, cannot believe the receptionists get away with what they do. They couldn't be more uncaring and down right rude if they tried - with the 'i get abuse every day' aattitude.Self rightous is an understatement. They talk over you, belittle you and getting a smile is like finding a four leaf clover in there! Be grateful and happy you have well paid jobs! So unbelievably miserable and unprofessional. Doctors are not much better.. unsigned prescriptions and doctors letters are a frequent thing... I think it's disgusting that you make an appointment.. if you are five or more minutes late your appointment gets cancelled. Without fail over the years I was with the surgery, not ONCE did I get seen on time not even once. 15-20 minute wait after your appointment time every time. But they'll still cancel your appointment if you're 5+ mins late. How stupid?! I am clinically depressed with an eating disorder. I can honestly say I avoided and even cancelled past appointments due to the cold unwelcoming treatment of the reception staff. I would be too anxious to go in - therefore my health suffered. I had no choice but to move surgeries.

To make the point I fully understand and take in to account the state of the NHS at the moment and the strain it's under. It is easy to complain about the things that are out of the doctors control such as lack of appointments. This is something completely out of the surgery's control and it's a shame so many people have spent their time on here moaning about it! My complaint centers around the way the staff treat sick members of the public. A disgusting lack of respect!

Take note - the surgery only really seems to respond to positive reviews. Interesting. The proof is below!
