I've been a dedicated member of Elite-Thai Boxing and the Community Centre for six years now, and I can genuinely say that this place is a haven for everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances. Whether you're a professional boxer, an amateur, a fitness enthusiast, or someone seeking support, this gym caters to all. They provide a myriad of services, from nutritional advice to weekly groups for veterans and mental health support, all within a positive, family-like environment.

My journey with Elite began during one of the most challenging periods of my life. After being diagnosed with cancer, undergoing a surgically induced menopause, and battling depression—all while working full-time and caring for my disabled mother—I was on the brink of a downward spiral. Elite was my lifeline. The moment I walked through those doors, I felt welcomed and understood. The coaches, who genuinely care for each individual, not only helped me regain my fitness but also my sense of self. They even recommended a thrive coach, which was a turning point for me.

Elite has become my sanctuary, a place where I can be myself and leave my worries at the door. The positive energy and camaraderie within the gym are palpable. No matter what you're going through, you're guaranteed to laugh, smile, and feel uplifted while engaging in some serious training. The sense of community is so strong that I now consider Elite a different kind of family. Even a short break from the gym makes me miss the supportive atmosphere and the incredible people I've come to know.

I highly recommend Elite-Thai Boxing and the Community Centre, not just for their top-notch training, but also for their seminars and charitable work with kids and veterans. This place has the potential to open doors and create opportunities for anyone who walks in. I've trained at other places recently, but none have matched the safe, welcoming, and positive vibe of Elite. Professional boxers, amateurs, and coaches alike treat you like family, regardless of your skill level.

Everyone should give Elite a try for a month; I promise you won't want to stop going. Leave your ego and troubles at the door, and let the sunshine into your world for an hour. Elite offers so much more than just a workout—it's a place where everyone is part of a supportive and caring team.

This is without doubt one of the best gyms in the UK. It's suitable for people in their 50s just wanting to stay fit (like me), right though to professional boxers. It's welcoming, friendly and professional.

Anyone looking to change their lives you have to look no further! Elite in my eyes is like no other gym in the country. As you can see in my profile picture I was 24stone, addicted to substances and at a point, homeless. I had lost everything including my family and friends. I had the option to continue the way I was going, or try to change my life, and stepping foot in Elite I have never looked back. I imagined a boxing environment to be completely different compared to what Elite actually was. From the very start all the coaches was so nice and welcoming and discussed with me what my goals was. The nerves went away within minutes and through care and attention to me, along with every other person that steps foot into Elite from the staff, I managed to lose half my weight (12 stone), became drug free, have amazing new friends for life, have my family back in my life along with a whole new outlook on the world. I am now the Sports Therapist and Nutrition coach at Elite (i could never have imagined this EVER), but anything is possible with the right people and right environment. This is something that I just never imagined possible from what I thought was just going to be a place to get me fit. It's so much more than a boxing club! Its a family and caters to overweight people, people with difficulties, fighters, young troubles teens, ladies classes, keep fitters, over 50s and much much more. If you was to ask me what was the turning point in your life, I can honestly say that coming to Elite has to be that turning point and like I said I have never looked back. I've said it many times since and I will continue to say it. 'In my opinion there is no other club like this in the whole country'! Thank you for helping me have a life again everyone at Elite, for all the support and for how good my body and mental health is now. it would not have been possible without you'!!

Our daughter has been attending Elite for almost 18 months now, she does enjoy it most of the time, but sometimes finds it a little difficult to keep up the same level of fitness as others in her group , but with encouragement and determination she can get through it.
Her confidence is growing slowly which is why we chose elite for her, and also to keep building her confidence for her next journey which is high school from September which she is really anxious about.

She loves to get stuck in with her gloves on and particularly loves pad work and you can see on her face how much she enjoys doing this.

Joins the gym at the beginning of the year it’s a brilliant environment all the coaches are top and go above and beyond to help you the amature team speaks for itself it just brings champion after champion. Also great for recovery and massages if your always getting injured like me got to be up there with the best in England
