I was seen by a Dr from the team last week. I'd previously seen a Nurse at my local surgery the day before, but was concerned she hadn't given me the right diagnosis.Their thoughts were I'd had an allergic reaction as my eye had swollen up.

The Dr I saw at the Practice diagnosed me with Ocular Shingles and referred me to Birmingham Eye Hospital. They confirmed the diagnosis after examining me and gave me a prescription for an oral antiviral and an antiviral eye gel. Thankfully there was no direct eye involvement and the shingles were focused around my eyelid and face.

I've since made a recovery and I think my experience and recovery would have been greatly impacted if I hadn't seen a member of your team. So I wanted to thank you for your help.

EPMP are a team of very caring and friendly medical professionals - just the way they should be.
