An extremely noisy alarm went off day and presumably night just outside my father's room. The Deputy Manager said "It's a care home! Residents get used to it." Residents' doors are left open all the time, adding to the racket and offering no privacy (you need to expressly state you want the door closed, it's not offered as a standard). My father had come from hospital to regain some strength before coming home and on day five seemed to be getting a sore throat/cough which I mentioned to a Deputy Manager who said my father would be 'bounced back to hospital' if that were the case. I found the care staff friendly and helpful, but the management cold. All in all, I would not want my parents to be there.

Do not allow your loved one to be a resident here!
Never any staff on duty 2-3 care staff to 40 residents and some that are on shift have a real attitude.
The heating is on during summer after asking it to be turned off! Residents are promised a bath or shower and they do not get them at all.
Outbreaks of d&v due to staff not washing hands and wearing gloves.
Please take my word for this the staff turnover says it all. This place has made me want to leave this particular sector of work. It's just shocking
