The reception staff are wonderful really helpful & supportive.
But when I went to see this latest doctor I felt as if he wasn’t listening to me & was hurrying me out of the door. Before I’d even sat down. Sometimes you just need someone to listen doctors shouldn’t be to busy.

Not even one star service, rude receptionists who clearly can no longer manage patients professionally or with dignity and should not be asking private medical questions and expecting people to answer in front of others. Poor communication skills and basic lack of respect by the receptionists and incredibly grateful to have now left this doctors and finally get same day or next day appointments without being made to feel guilty for asking!

receptionists are SO rude, lack basic manners & skills on how to talk to people. Just when I think the practice couldn’t get worse it does tried all week for an appoint e consult not even being switched on so called for an ON THE DAY appoint to be on hold for 20mins as number one in the Que & then given an appointment in 2& a half weeks time saying it’s the only appoint available

Just had a smear test in this centre and had a terrible experience. The nurse has clearly just taken her lunch, as the remains of it as well as the smell were still very much in the room. She was extremely rude and condescending ans made me feel really uncomfortable. I had not received a letter for the appointment and she started lecturing me about how I have to make sure I get my mail. When I said that unfortunately that was out of my hands as I cannot control Royal Mail. She started explaining that she didn’t know what circumstances were in my household to prevent me from receiving mail and how many people lived there- this is just an example and we had a few exchanges of a similar nature. Overall, horrible experience and certainly not the right approach to keeping patients comfortable

I must admit that I've,in recent years, avoided contacting the East Barnet Health Centre as it is usually impossible to get an appointment, let alone a face to face appointment. I called the Health centre this afternoon and was able to get an appointment and saw one of the doctors who was excellent in dealing with my immediate appointment and he answered other questions I had. It is often easy to complain about the NHS Service but on this occasion it deserved praise. Thank you.

I have a newborn so have had the typical back and forth to the GP in the first 8 weeks. I only have Praise for practice manager who has nailed the admin staffing demand and capacity and the admin teams who are incredibly responsive. The phone has always been answered and they call back when they say they are going to, even on the terribly busy Monday mornings! Well done to whoever has worked out the number of slots needed for this busy practice and somehow managed to deliver it to allow the admin staff to do their job and give appointments when needed.

The medical care has been mixed, some excellent GPs and some not so thorough.

The new practice nurse Cristina is lovely and a great addition to the practice!

I tried to get an appointment several times Unfortunately, they don't care and you can never get an appointment. They are very guarded and have a selfish attitude when responding to patients. Their interactions are so ugly, It seems like the people who work for the NHS are very different people with unique personalities. They think that the rest of society has no work or life. They send a link to a phone number. Call this, call that, fill it out, talk to him to make an appointment with the doctor. They always have an excuse that they're busy, whether it's because of Christmas or some other reason.

I have been going to this surgery for over ten years and have always been happy. But now the service has changed so dramatically. The doctors are good but one of the reception ladies is very rude. The big black yang lady is always rude when serving she acts like she owns the place. And is not just me saying it but other ladies that I talked have had the same experience with her.
