Astonishing how bad the service is. I regret ever coming into their orbit, as there has been no benefit, but a lot of negatives. Staff utterly incapable of communicating with others who work on the same corridor. Cancelled medication reviews. Adjustements to my prescription made without even speaking to me.

I genuinely can't work out what they are supposed to do, as I've had lots of conversations, but nothing ever happens, and have had people making decisions about my care without even speaking to me or having any kind of assessment. Unfortunately, like so many others, I simply have nowhere else to turn.

I'm only giving one star because it's the lowest I can go.

I was referred to MINT back in 2022. It took them 4 months to reach out to me, however in that time they cancelled all my mental health medication without telling me (this included an anticonvulsant which can cause seizures if going cold turkey). When they finally did reach out - after I filed a formal complaint - I was assigned to a young girl who didn't listen to a single word I said. She expected me to meet face to face for every session (even thou I work full time and was not about to jeopardise my job for some poor quality mental health care) and she also kept signing me up for classes that I had no interest in, and were also within working hours. I kept asking her for video sessions and online courses to do, but she didn't want to listen to me.

She terminated contact and claimed that I wasn't showing interest, when that was not the case. She also lied and claimed I had a psychiatrist assessment during my time with her, which stopped me from being able to pursue an NHS appointment to get a formal diagnosis. I had to pay for private to get what I needed.

Do not waste your time with MINT.

EDIT - I spoke to someone from MINT again a couple weeks ago (not out of choice) and the woman on the phone had the audacity to claim that A, people over 40 don’t show mental health symptoms (100% not true), and B, since I have a full time job, a partner and I haven’t harmed myself or others, I am not a priority. If this is what they have to offer, I fear for anyone with mental health struggles.

I am in the process of yet another formal complaint regarding MINT. They are clearly uneducated and uncaring. They do not deserve your time.

Do not go here if your seeking help please avoid them as they are unprofessional and dismissive of their patients. Not only that they are also hostile and negligent often calling authorities such as police instead of dealing with the consequences of their bad treatment of their patients.
If your suffering mental health problems they will make it worse I was completely dismissed and told that my only issue was my anger even though they was completely aware of my suicide attempts within the pass year this experience has made me feel ignored and isolated I’m absolutely disgusted with the treatment I have received.

Really bad service here! Have called in the hope of changing my allocated person as I’m unable to understand her at all. The receptionist hung up the phone on me and when I called back said that I did not respond in call when we have had a full on recorded convo!! Really bad and unprofessional. Shocking that is is a supposed mental health service!

Awful place!!! Staff are disrespectful, have no manners just hang up the phone on you when you try and ask for help!.
They wont ever allow you to speak to the doctor they just ignore you!
I have had one of the nurses scream at me over the phone they are not supposed to treat their clients like that!
They diagnose you with conditons that you dont actually have!.
Staff are transphobic, it's important to respect trans peoples chosen pronouns like "she, him, them" but they refuse to do so!.
Staff have actually called the police on me when ive gone there to ask for help in person this is terrible!.
This clinic needs to be closed down and the staff be all sacked they cant treat humans beings like this, they dont care about their patients!!.

0/10 it's just wrong that anyone with complicated needs and a severe illness should ever be referred to this inadequate service, they don't the have the funding and capacity to cope with that level of need though no doubt they do reasonable work with the less ill patients. Often the staff seem to be spread very thin and surviving in post which is understandable but they need to honest about what they can't do rather than pretending to cope.
