It's a better than nothing service unless you can afford to go private. The site and building is unsuitable, the rooms are tiny and poorly heated and ventilated so any kind of meeting with more than three people is difficult, the waiting area consists of a few uncomfortable seats bolted to the corner of a corridor space and there is no parking and poor public transport links. There's only one consultant psychiatrist for between 130 to 150 very unwell patients so it is impossible for that person to do any kind of in depth diagnosis, that person has been set up to fail with any of the more complex and severe cases. The other staff are often very good at making the best of a bad job and I don't blame them for talking up a bad job, they have to try to keep the patients and their carers positive but they are clearly in no position to deliver the best possible recovery for their "clients", they don't call them patients which I believe shows a lack of commitment to their recovery, the mentally unwell deserve the same standard of treatment as anyone else. Communication is a serious problem, they don't do any kind of e-mail for the "clients" or their carers, I had to buy a printer and I use snail mail for documents and letters and if its important do separate letters for each member of staff, the office staff are very busy.

Dr. Cross and Dr. Desai are the worst doctors I've ever had - they are extremely bad listeners and rude. They need to be fired and replaced asap. Other doctors are fine. Also the bad reviews here have been removed. Will make a youtube video about this soon.

Fairly efficient team - the only downside is that they only have paperwork aimed at kids, rather than adults, but it seems to still do the job

This is an unsafe service and the current management team is erratic and disorganised. Worthy of a CQC Review.
