I recently saw Dr Steven Millar after a prolonged period of being unwell, which I was self-treating with over-the-counter medication. Dr Millar was intent on getting to the root of the issue and took the time to explain his diagnosis and treatment. Previously had good experience with this service but not today. E-mailed them at 3am due to ongoing insomnia (and becoming distressed during the nights) plus a viral illness which caused me to black out on Christmas Day. Viral illness has now lasted 17 days. I knew my e-Mail would not be seen until this morning but hoped it would be taken seriously. Unfortunately not. Call from reception - today is Tuesday and they are offering to fit me in for a £100 telephone consultation on Saturday. Being ill and after no sleep at all last night I won’t be trying to use this service again in future.

Review updated 14:16 02/01/2024 - review rating changed due to grumpy response from owner on here rather than trying to work things out. I did not receive an auto reply in response to my e-Mail as they said I did. I was aware from a previous e-Mail they were closed till this morning which was fine as I only sent the e-Mail at 3am. The e-Mail advising that they were re-opening today did not state there would be no doctor on site until Saturday 6th January. Reception also did not explain this and though I am registered severely visually impaired I also can’t find this on the website. I realise they are not an emergency service however it is unacceptable in my view that if they are open I should have to wait 4 days to speak to a doctor. Regarding the price as I’m desperate I was willing to pay it. There are others who are cheaper though - I’ve now been offered a telephone or video consultation for £70 tomorrow rather than £100 and waiting until Saturday. I don’t appreciate being treated like rubbish when I am feeling ill and going through a really difficult time in my life. I would have welcomed the opportunity to work this through but seems they don’t want to.

Dr. Wayne is highly knowledgeable. He is efficient, attentive, and looks after me as a patient very well. I am so grateful to him for his care, especially in time of distress due to the physical illness. At Freedom Clinic, the setting is also very comfortable while waiting.

Dr Cottrell is great. Puts you totally at ease, very thorough and went above and beyond to ensure my health was looked after. He followed up everything quickly and with a phone call. He was at hand for any questions and explains things clearly. He's very professional without being cold. Excellent service. I would definitely recommend him.
