My friends and I went here as part of a 30th birthday gift. We booked 2 months in advance and had the Serenity package. On our way there at 11:10 they called and asked us to change one of our treatments to 11:30. This felt rushed and also meant one of us would be on our own in the spa facilities for an hour, which wasn’t the plan before. There was no apology and weren’t offered anything to compensate the inconvenience until we asked.
The staff at the front desks weren’t very helpful. We arrived and they just stood there looking at us until we said we had a booking, which felt awkward.
The changing rooms, pool area and restaurant were all freezing cold all day. The pool also wasn’t very warm. The bed cushions in the relaxation rooms didn’t smell good and need a wash. The smell hits you when you walk in there and isn’t pleasant.
There were a lot of children jumping into the pool whilst we were trying to relax in the jet pool.
For £175 it wasn’t what we were expecting.
We had the full body massage and hour facial, which were both amazing. I had both of mine with Donna and she was attentive, thorough and an amazing therapist! Would come back just for a treatment with her!

There is no words to described how great the chefs are at the Cadbury House. We are still talking about the party food we have had last week. |Beautiful soup + bread to kick off, followed by Roast Squash Risotto which was BEYOND (i was afraid it might be blend as vegetarian dishes tend to receive ''less love'' but the kitchen team really put an effort to make simple dish taste exceptional).||Our main had plenty of vegetables, generous portion of Yorkshire Pudding and stunning beef... Few people on our table had turkey and they were speaking very highly of the dish too. So you can choose either- you will not be disappointed. ||The CHERRY on top was the dessert- cherry & white chocolate cheesecake. Again, very generous portion and beautifully presented. ||Thank you so much to all kitchen team for your effort to making our food so exceptional. I can tell, you are putting a lot of work into EVERY dish.|| Presentation 10/10 | Taste 10/10 ||...which does not happens often. ||We are blown away and we can not wait to come back for family and friends gatherings at the Cadbury House. ||Please pass my compliments to the chefs preparing Christmas Parties this year.

£10 charge for parking not highlighted until after the free cancellation window. Parking is about 75m plus from the main entrance with quite a steep slope, too.

Room quality did not reflect the price. Basic tea/coffee, UHT milk, budget hairdryer etc. Noisy air conditioning.

Service was friendly and efficient.

Pool facilities were in a separate building (2 min walk) but were generally good.

Charging a paying guest £10 a night to park is nothing other than greed! I’m sorry but there is no excuse for this, it’s in a semi rural location with plenty of car parking, no need to punish your guest, this is nothing other than a money grab. Myself and others in my group all agreed we’d rather pay £10 more for the hotel room than pay for the parking, just out of principal. Surely someone somewhere in your management must have done a little bit of consumer research and realised tactics like this might be better approach rather than a blatant money grab in the car park, which leaves customers feeling ripped off!|The food was average. We were given a set menu and as a large group we were asked to pre-order our choices, which we did. On the set menu there were two choices of pudding and starters. However on the evening there was one pudding and one pudding only, if you didn’t like it tough luck! Sounds like a petty complaint, however when you’ve spent a considerable amount on an average menu and also been robbed in the car park, it really isn’t a good customer experience. ||On a more positive note, the room was clean, bed was comfy and the breakfast was enjoyable. Shame the negatives out weighed the positives.

Hotel is fine, albeit overpriced. Beware of hidden charges. I was charged £50 to leave a car overnight in the car park during my stay. This charge is despite the fact that car is the only reasonable way to reach this countryside hotel, which has no real public transportation options. The hotel could include parking in the day rate given there’s no real way to avoid it, but has chosen to keep the charge hidden. The lack of openness and transparency is a shame - the hotel could make these changes much clearer.

Most staff are fantastic. One was awful and ironically he worked on front desk. Must have been having a very bad day when we arrived. Some rooms are fantastic. Some have no heating and use portable heaters, exploding taps and squeaky beds. Spa and gym were very good however and some of the best facilities experienced at this level.

Hotel is ok, however the quality isn't good enough for the price. Housekeeping is sporadic, several days the room was not made up. They charge an absurd additional fee for parking, which is ridiculous for a hotel far from any public transport. Breakfast is messy. I wouldn't return, the most frustrating part was being charged a significant sum on arrival to be able to leave a car within the hotel grounds.
