Absolutely appalling hospital. No basic care given. A Consultant who gets paid let's face it a high wage spends if your very lucky 30 minutes with the paitent out of 10,080 minutes until the following week to see them again. Not only that doesn't do anything that's been stated to be done. These paitents are ILL where is the care ? You have paitents on the ward where they have blades of one form or another. You don't seem to have staff that actually CARE about the paitents but it's just a job with a wage. Night staff don't want to be disturbed and tell paitents to go back to bed, yet its a known FACT most people who suffer with mental health issues are worse at night !!
And God forbid if someone is taken physically ill as the medical Doctor is equally as bad ! What the heck are these people being paid for actually doing Don't tell me this is due to cut backs of NHS because these PAID PSYCHIATRIST, PSYCHOLOGYIST ,MEDICAL DOCTORS AND STAFF ALL GET PAID.
This is supposed to be a highly regarded country.
Well not at this hospital.

If you have a family member or friend. Who is NOT BEING HELPED Go to PALS, if that doesn't work go to the CQC, MP and or Newspapers.

Update after more self harming while in this hospital. The paitent did have a ward Doctor come down. No Sats were done by him, didn't actually do a thing only say take paracetamol. Arms were blistered badly burnt. Paitents relative had to come and take the paitent to A&E after the ward doctor came for third time and stated" if you want to go to your own doctor or A&E you can your Voluntary paitent". Where is the duty of care for this paitent who it turns out had a fever, delirious and turns out had infection through burns. A&E were disgusted and advised to get PALS involved so that says something.

What are the 4 responsibilities of duty of care?

If I could give this place 0 stars I would my mom comes here for her mental health issues and my mom has a eating disorder (Anorexia) Her doctor is so rude and not helpful she sees him every 6 months and all he goes on about is her weight knowing she has a eating disorder 13th March 2025 my mom went to her usually six months rewiew and as soon she sat down in the room he goes on about her weight like always but this time it was different and really pissed me off he told my mom to have a blood test done and to be put on some Fat injections to “lose weight” which had upset her more and all day she has been asking everybody in my family if she looks fat and we had resurre her that she is not fat this place is supposed to help people mental health get better but it setting my mom back I am now afraid she will relapse and stop eating and end up in hospital like she did when she was a teenager. We are going to report this doctor to my mom GP and change doctors because this always happens 😡🤬

I was under the home treatment team a few weeks ago. The staff who came out were brilliant in all fairness. But they led me to believe I would have this extra support being's as I was with them. But since being discharged after jus 72 hrs I've been left with no support whatsoever..my go is useless when it comes to mental health. And I just have a nurse phone me every other week. I was led to believe by this team I would have a psychiatrist and extra help....where exactly Just leaving me with a self referral number is no good at all..do you understand just how hard it is to even ask for help never mind expecting us to do self referrals?..now my heads in the same place as before...my gp support is none existent....so where is all this mental health support...cos I'm yet to find it....you led me on!!! ....so who actually gives a fk about people's mental health these days

Reading down the reviews sorry I don’t even care most don’t actually need to be in an inpatient setting but they’ve got so much to say. I go up see home treatment doctor and in patients am coming of ward but they running staff members down based on staff members looks like they some oil painting. Them self’s I would rather work with the home treatment team to prevent any Admission into hospital I have been in there myself maybe others could do the same cause impatient should really be for those most ill you no them who are psychotic lacking capacity those who are a risk to them self’s or others maybe then the hospital will have beds for those people cause they never have any bed space local just lately. Just a thought to others complaining about the CARE And no I’m not a doctor as to say who should or shouldn’t be in there but what I’ve seen could use other resources and free beds for those most unwell

Just a little update about my sister's care from these so called professional s.
Last night she barely escaped from her burning home.she had to escape from an upstairs window.
She's lucky to be alive and has lost everything she owns.
Due to your disregarded approach and your unprofessional care and not listening to our concerns for 7 years and leaving my mom with the burden of her care when you should have been providing her with care and medication you have not.
You are not fit for purpose
