How can anyone trust this practice? This place has a serious issue with administration and management, and the reception team are utterly clueless.
A terrible experience yet again (Thursday 22 Nov 2024). I turn up a few minutes early for my scheduled appointment, check in with the digital display and sit in the waiting room. 15 minutes after my appointment time, having had previous experience of appointments being 'overlooked', I stand up to speak to a receptionist who assures me I will be seen and to just be patient. So I sit again for another 15m after which someone calls my name but only to tell me that unfortunately the nurse with whom I have the appointment has herself a *planned* hospital appointment and will not be able to see me.
They claim that they had tried to contact me but somehow could not get through to me. I have not received any information of my appointment being cancelled, no voice or text message, and no information on arrival, and even when I ask after 15 minutes of waiting pointlessly. They offer to reschedule the appointment but by this time how can I trust the same won't happen again? They offer empty apologies, but they do not ask to confirm which details they have used to supposedly contact me, or seek to work out what has happened or how to prevent this from happening again. As it has happened to me and my family more than once how can anyone not conclude that this place is badly run and managed?

Called the GP about the 1 medical problem I've had in over 7 years. Something that has been causing me a lot of pain for a couple years. They asked me two maybe three questions including do I think it's infected, to which I responded yes. And instead of booking anything or seeing about possible antibiotics they told me to go private!! Disgraceful, quit your job if you don't actually want to help. The one time I needed my GP and they tell me to go pay someone £100+ because they 'don't really deal with it'. You're a gp for Christ sakes.

Let me first say that I am aware that the NHS is about to collapse and that NHS staff are paid extremely poorly.

But what I experienced here was bad.

I had worrying symptoms that were disrupting my normal life for a long period of time, and I saw a doctor here multiple times. Multiple times I was told that it is probably just anxiety, that it is stress, or that it's all in my head. Denied any examination and possible treatment. Several months later I have gone through my records and it turned out none of my complaints about pain and symptoms have been noted.

Now I went back to my country, and I got seen by several doctors, got quickly diagnosed and will have surgery to deal with the problem. When I told them about what I experienced in England, they all shook their heads and asked: why would I be treated like that and why would medical professionals leave my issue undiagnosed and untreated, eventually getting worse so much so that now a surgery is necessary?

I understand NHS is struggling, but why could you not tell me to seek private care? Why could you not log my symptoms, why could you not acknowledge my symptoms? Why could you not tell me that treatment would be needed but the waiting time is long? Why were you not able to treat me like human being? Instead you subjected me to vile gaslighting. Made me feel like I'm crazy. At one point I even believed you and felt guilty for wasting your precious time! This took a huge hit at my mental health. Furthermore, I am now in much worse physical health due to the untreated problem (even though surgery will improve it).

How can you behave like that, and how can you treat people like that? What is wrong with you? If you treat patients like that, why are you a doctor?

I get it that the medical system is overwhelmed. But why is your solution to gaslight and convince a portion of patients that they're not sick, when in fact they are? Why lie to them? They could seek treatment elsewhere. They should be made aware of their condition. What you're doing is absolutely evil.

I would stay away from this place. I hope other medical professionals in England don't employ the same strategy as the staff here.

Reception team always understanding with my chronic issues , make an extra effort to listen to my concerns and resolve any questions or needs. They work incredibly hard and still are patient and kind even tho I can be a bloody handful when I’m poorly. Most respect to them all and the team there . Everyone at this practice works really hard and it doesn’t go unnoticed . ?

Terrible service ? you get given different conflicting messages by admin/reception team. One of them even admitted I should have not been given that particular information.
Reception/admin team help whom they choose to help, and don't care! I won't bother explaining my experiences. I understand NHS is struggling, short-staffed, etc but this

It’s impossible to get through on the phone, always at least fifth or higher in the queue. It was never this bad, while there is also no option to make appointment through the NHS app.

I put a request for a repeat prescription in to the practice two weeks ago for my medication. I received a text message 4 days later telling me that a doctor wanted to talk with me before issuing the medication and that a call had been scheduled for 1 weeks time (today), this morning I received another text telling me the doctor was poorly and that my call has now been scheduled for next week (another 7 days)! so here I am now with no medication for my blood pressure or asthma...!! I have been calling the surgery for the past 35 minutes to see if any one of the many other doctors that practice there can review my medication and approve it however, as usual, I get the pre-recorded message telling me that they cant answer the call due to high volumes! So lets hope I don’t have a stroke / heart attack / asthma attack between now and next Monday! Someone needs to really look at how this surgery is managed!
