On reception we were greeted in a very welcoming and organised manner.

The rooms are lovely and the service we received throughout was second to none.

I have to say, that the service we received from Ella and Max on our first stay, has made me want to revisit as they went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after.

The following morning we headed to the driving range, which was a great start to our morning. It was a lovely touch and very well ran.

I work in the area on a regular basis and won’t look any further when booking accommodation for my stay.

We loved our short stay!||The staff were brilliant, so very helpful and nice.||Set in beautiful grounds, with options for rooms in old house itself, or elsewhere on the estate, we opted for house.||The house is full of very interesting furniture and objects. Room a little tired, but in keeping with the house which must be a listed building. ||Situated 5 mins drive off M4, and 5 mins from Newbury it is a great position. ||Restaurant for evening meal, great service and our dinner was good.||Breakfast very good.||Will visit again

Second time we have stayed at this hotel.|The receptionist was professional, friendly and welcoming. When he saw us around the hotel he always had time for a "hello" and a smile.|Stayed in the Summer House. Comfortable and clean with splendid views.|We stayed during the recent freezing spell so although our room was lovely and warm, the bar and restaurant area was not.|Had dinner one night. My wife ordered Ceasar salad with extra chicken. The salad was just lettuce and the chicken was dry and small.|Breakfast was fine.|Another tip: When we had a couple of drinks at the bar before dinner, we were asked if we wanted to add it to the tab.|We made the mistake of agreeing, not realising that a 10% service charge for dinner was added. This resulted in me paying £6.93 for a pint if Peroni that should only cost £6.30.|Woukd definitely stay again.

As soon as you drive into the grounds you're blown away that this picturesque and tranquil spot is just a stones throw away from the hustle and bustle of society. ||||The view is splendid, the staff were excellent. Stayed in Lake view, which made the stay feel like a retreat. The room was pleasant. Only downside was the bed. I would definitely visit again!

Gorgeous location. Staff were all really helpful. Just be aware that you might be staying in one of the outside rooms. Although perfectly nice they aren't the big, fancy rooms you see in the picture and possibly not suitable if you have mobility needs. Bar nice and relaxed and food great.

We were looking for somewhere to break our journey home and decided upon here. It fitted the bill perfectly. Pleasant people, lovely surroundings. Good food. Booze a little expensive unless you are a member of the Golf Club.||Will use it again as a journey breaker.

Quiet hotel in extensive grounds on outskirts of Newbury. Staff were excellent. Large bedroom and bathroom. Good walking in grounds and nearby. Good food in restaurant, reasonably priced. Half hour drive to Basildon Park National Trust property

Nice venue in a lovely location. Have stayed at the hotel a couple of times and very nice comfortable rooms. Have also visited the venue for events and enjoyed good food. Very helpful staff
