If there was an award for the 'Worst GP Surgery in the UK' this surgery (as well as Maxwell Drive) would for sure be top of the list! Would never usual write reviews but this practice has failed our family on multiple occasions and feel something has to be said. Fully appreciate the NHS are overworked and under paid but it is impossible to get an appointment - hours wasted 'on hold' only to be treated by the rudest receptionist's known to man both on the phone and in person (not to mention the dispensary too). Horrendous customer service, zero empathy or basic manners shown but the few women that work there! These people are letting this place down and the hard work done by the doctors. An absolute joke and would strongly recommend anyone to AVOID this surgery at all costs!!

In the midst of all the complaints about the NHS, I feel compelled to write about the amazing service I received from Dishley Grange Medical Practice/Cross Street Surgery.

At 10.15 am I rang and asked for a prescription for painkillers. This was not a repeat prescription although I had had them before. Within half an hour a Doctor had rang me and arranged for a prescription, along with some necessary laxatives. Within another half an hour I received a text saying that my prescription was ready to collect from Hathern Dispensary.

Within less than two hours my problem was solved. Thank you so much to all the staff involved, you are a credit to the practice.

Disappointing to see a year on since my last review and nothing has changed with this surgery.

I’ve tried the last few days to get an appointment for my 5 month old, only to be on hold for an hour each time and told no appointments left. I was told before that there are a number of appointments reserved for infants so how can these all be gone by 9am!

Advised to call out of hours doctors or 111 which is ridiculous for a health review to decreased wet nappies and no weight gain in baby who’s been like this for 3 months while we wait for a consultant app to come through. What happened to a GP actually caring about its patients and taking accountability.

Disgraceful. Failing my children and their health for years now.

I telephoned this morning for an appointment and was offered one at Maxwell Drive. Tina, with whom I spoke with, was calm, courteous and very caring. I have spoken with Tina before and I consider her to be a real asset to this surgery.
I later saw a Nurse Practitioner, Faryna, who took time to listen to my concerns. All in all, a positive experience amidst a daily diet of doom and gloom within the NHS which we are fed.

Useless is too kind.
Waiting for a fit note following an operation. Called 3 x times to check it had been processed and notes from hospital had arrived. Hospital said GP can provide fitnote. Was promised it would arrive on Friday after operation on a Tuesday. No it didn't. Called again Friday night at 5pm was told its being reviewed. Promise its coming Monday via email. Monday arrives ....no fit note....Tuesday ...no fit note....Wednesday yes you guessed it no fit note. In the end called hospital who provided it ASAP. They are totally useless. It was really simple nothing tricky yet they didn't deliver and surprise surprise still no fit note has arrived.

Popping on to write a review and disappointing that 3 months prior someone complained about the receptionist and yet nothing has changed. We've had ongoing issues with this surgery ever since it changed ownership. They use the excuse we're in a pandemic for their incompetence but these problems started way before the pandemic did. I find one receptionist particularly unhelpful, she hung up the phone to me the other day for simply asking to understand their process with the calls.

I am a routine appointment yet I have to call every Monday to 'try' and get the appointment I am due (9 months overdue). They inform us phone lines are busy so why not manage the team and schedule the routine apps to be called, so that someone like myself and many others aren't clogging up the lines in the morning when sick people need that call. It makes no sense.

After explaining I have been trying for months to get through another receptionist said she would put a 'task' for me to be called on Monday this week but alas, no call. After speaking to locals I think I will move my family and I to a different surgery because as I say these problems started way before the pandemic.

If I could I would be inclined to give this practice zero stars. My 86 yr old Mum is a Hathern patient and prior to being taken "under the Maxwell drive practices wing" always received the best, friendliest and most professional care , however since then has received none of the above. The previous replies to reviews are very generic and sadly ingenious. Unfortunately my Mum has no other surgery local to attend, so is stuck with it, but hopefully the surgery will start seeing their clients as real people instead of a number waiting to be dealt with and bring back the professinalism needed .

I have been with this practice for nearly 40 years, and I am not one for going to the doctor for an minor ailment, yet now when I need there services I find it impossible to get appointments when it is vital. I have logged in to the apps yet still can’t get appointments and get offered phone appointments a week a way from when I want. Why is it at the Hathern Surgery there is only one doctor their? When Dr Kaur and Dr Sigh was their the practice was so much better!
