From the conversations that I have had with friends and family I think Davenport House Surgery delivers one of the best services to its patients in the area. From helpful receptionists, nurses to doctors they have improved the way they deliver and also the helpful manner in which they have dealt with me recently. The duty doctor service is great with phone calls and texts speeding up responses. I used to feel that phoning reception was a trial but my current experience is that it has improved immeasurably.
Well done to all the staff and the management team.

Since sorting out the telephones the frustrations we had with getting to the reception have been massively reduced. When the care is available from the nurses, GPs and clinical staff it’s very good. Just always never enough resources for the demands put into all the staff

I have to say I have had fairly good experience with the surgery. However one receptionist called sally is just soo rude it’s unbelievable. I barely ever call the surgery and when I have done she has zero patient dealing skills which sadly brings the practise down. The rest of the doctors and reception staff are great. But sally seems to lack all the basic customer service skills and questions you like she’s a doctor. Unfortunately she makes such a negative experience for many patients to the surgery and it should be taken to management

Phoned this morning to check time of my appointment, there were 12 calls ahead of me. One hour later there were 2 calls ahead of me, at which point I was cut off!
I do not have contact with the surgery very often but when I do find the reception staff quite defensive and un helpful.

Had some crazy issues registering but spoke with some extremely pleasant and efficient staff and it was all sorted out. . UPDATE waited for promised call backs by secretaries and GPs stating that GP needs to speak to us for two months, Despite several calls no one ould tell me anything nor explain what the Gp wanted and why no call backs. 5 text messages received that I needed to contact the surgery.
The relationship ended when the rude argumentative practice manager interuptedrhe a call with a secretary and destroyed the 5 star rating in seconds. With talking over me and making up dates an basically ting to wind me up with talking nonsense rudely. Thanks fully the line went dead. No one rang back. But I still did not have a resolution or know what to do. I rang back which I regret now as I gave the practice manager another opportunity to abuse and disrespect me. End of relationship with what could have been the best GP practice.

Just had the absolute best conversation with an extremely helpful receptionist today - She gave me the time to explain my various concerns and showed a genuine interest in wanting to resolve my problems. It is the best GP reception interaction I have had in the last 9 years - having been with 4 different GP services before.

I hardly phone the gp for an appointment though l pay NI and NHS surcharge but don't get the appointment and care that l need when l need it.lts ridiculous to wait over an hour and when you are lucky to get through you are told there are no appointment available. You walk into the surgery and absolutely no body in the waiting area and yet the calls don't get answered. Such a disappointment.
