The most disappointing and hope-draining experience I could imagine with a therapist. Daryl is extremely money-oriented - it feels like you’re exploited for money and not being listened to. He doubled his 50min session price after the second meeting, and he utilised over 30 minutes from the session to explain this charge. When I missed our session, his first sentence after picking up phone call was “I need to charge you anyway”. From a person who should be taking care about my mental health, I would expect at least question if I am okay?
Besides that, he seems to have issues with formulating questions and understanding some concepts.
Either way, I wouldn’t recommend his services unless you’re trying to get rid of excess disposable income

In some instances, therapy sessions can be extremely insightful, whereby thorough dissections of past and present experiences allow for reasoning and understanding of feelings can be realised.

The major drawback to this therapy is that I spent much time still attending sessions despite not actually needing to, but was encouraged to do so. Cut-off points and self-evaluation are crucial in knowing when therapy is adequate or necessary. There have been many times where session time has not been on focus and general questions about daily activities dominates time (understandably, the client can be partially accountable for this too).

I noticed in certain scenarios where I would ask for advice, innocuous and neutral language would be used with me which eventually became jarring given how inapplicable advice became. There are also instances whereby discussion may be repeated or stretched to fill the length of the session.

Overall, the quality of the therapy is quite good, but it is most effective if you have a direct issue that you want to discuss, otherwise your time (and a large amount of your money) are not fully utilised. My experience cannot be said to be identical to yours and ultimately this is a subjective review (and not libel, I don't have anymore money for legal fees).
