This trust is extremely racist. As a member of staff of the OT department not only did I witness racism from staff to service users but mainly harassment and bullying to black members of staff. When I raised my concerns surrounding the issue, I was met with hostility and poor references from the lead Neuro OT upon leaving the trust. If you are someone of an ethnic minority stay far away from this hospital if you want to protect your mental health. There is a culture surrounding silencing the grievances of black and Asian members of staff and I hope one day that will change.
