I have had a client at Cygnet Brunel for a quite considerable time and while I did experience some frustrations, especially with the lack of resource to effectively manage his brain injury, alongside his MH diagnosis, there are two people who really stand out for me, Atma, the lead nurse of my client’s ward, always engaging and keen to help find solutions and Rebecca on reception. Without fail, Rebecca provides a warm welcome, always has a smile on their face and is a trusted ‘go to’ person when me or my client need to arrange visits/meetings etc. They are a real asset to Cygnet Brunel and I hope that is recognised.

All I can say about this establishment is Thank you for saving my life. I am being totally honest. I spent a Whole year here. I am a recovering alcoholic who has had numerous seizes and a Stroke when I was only 35. Which sent me on a downward similarly endless staircase. The staff here are very professional considering what they have to put up with. All in All it isn't a bad place. When I look back at what this place did for me. One word says it all... Excellent

Staff treated horribly by management, failures hidden from auditors, patients (with a huge range of issues) all crammed together and only let outside when being reviewed. I knew someone who worked there - staff would get regularly beaten up by patients, sometimes even being hospitalised. Management would then pressure them to come to work next day. However bad you can imagine these facilities being, I assure you it’s worse.

I visited a friend today. Without exception the staff were wonderful, friendly and welcoming particularly Becky on reception. The visiting area is bright and cheerful and I left happy my friend is being very well cared for by lovely people
