I had an appointment here today, though it is not my regular doctors, mine didn't have capacity. I saw nurse practitioner Katy Berry today and I have never felt so respected and listened to by a medical professional as I have today. I'm so used to being brushed off and treated like I'm overexaggerating my chronic issues, when I'm autistic and already have a hard time communicating what I'm feeling. It was such a breath of fresh air to meet such a lovely nurse today who wants to hear what I have to say, and ultimately help me. Shout out to Katy, I hope you know how lovely you are and hope your day is bright, like you've made mine 🙂

Had major vascular surgery to the right femoral artery 6 days ago.on discharge i was given a letter of referal to take to the medical center at culcheth.
On arriving i presented the letter to the recptionist and said that i needed to have an appointment with the practice nurse to remove a pico dressing, she did not read the letter, and told me that they do not do dressings there.when i asked her to read the letter she thought i was being abusive.and told me she was trying to help me.
So first i dont understand how a MEDICAL CENTER does not do dressings, what is it FOR, i must add i am no spring chicken i am 72 in 2 months.i was expected to ring a district nurse myself or attend a walk in center.
Very poor service,with nill empathy.

UPDATE to the very swift reply from the OWNER defending the poor service i received.
PLEASE CAN YOU LET ME KNOW WHO THE OWNER IS by name.
As i believe you are a public service, who is paid for with tax payers money.
As a tax payer for over 40 years you work for the general public including me.
I am quite happy to be corrected by you if this is wrong.

Very unfriendly lady at reception over the phone, trying to explain that I need prescription for my grandson after being advised by a pharmacist to contact my local GP to arrange for a prescription, apparently there's some way for visitors to a UK resident just for her to tell me the pharmacists don't know and gave me wrong information and on top of that she told me they are not entitled to make use of NHS as they're visiting (he's registered with NHS but not living here anymore). I didn't ask for free service, just for some help and information for my 2 year old grandson!! Emphathy and diplomacy should be on top of their list working in such environment!!

Recently joined the surgery and so far I'm very impressed. I've rang on two occasions and managed to get through within 10 minutes each time ( my previous surgery was nearly an hour) The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and doctors have also been very thorough. Thank you

Unable to get an appointment through reception despite one still being available on the day ! Ambulance rang next morning, admitted to hospital with a very high infection rate, pneumonia & sepsis. Paramedic pointed out I haven't seen a GP since 2010. Suffered another 24 hours in terrible pain & my condition getting worse. Worrying as the practice gives the impression that this lack of service is acceptable. Disappointing to say the least especially when you consider what you pay in, it's time we were give the option to opt out & go private without having to contribute to the NHS
Re your response: I was offered an appt v late in the day, I was in Manchester awaiting transport as not in a fit state to drive. Had your reception even hinted an appointment wd be available I'd hv arranged alternative transport as I was desperately unwell. This appointment was offered by the GP via telephone as it was clear to anyone (other than your reception) I was extremely unwell by which time it was impossible to get there in rush hour traffic. Spoken with practice manager regarding this ... suggesting I just missed an appointment ! Seriously ? Your response as well as your service leaves a lot to be desired.
