The whole lot of them are absolutely wonderful. You do have to get up early to book an appointment, but that is the world we live in. Doctors have always listed and were incredible with every appointment I have made/attended/blood taking etc. Always happy to refer on to hospital for appointments, never rushed, never dismissive. Doing a fantastic job in an unhealthy society of our own making (me included).

I recently had an appointment where the sonographer, unfortunately, was quite unkind and impatient during my scan. Every time I asked a question, she seemed agitated, which made me feel uneasy and not reassured about the process. As a patient, I believe it’s important to feel supported and informed, especially during medical procedures. And as a registered nurse who has worked for the nhs, I understand the importance of patient care and communication. It was really disappointing to experience this lack of empathy, especially during such an important procedure.

Overall, this experience left me feeling quite anxious.

But I would also like to commend the nurse and the receptionist who assisted me and were very helpful and professional throughout the appointment.

The service here is absolutely horrible. No wonder the doctors never stay at this practice. They are quite rude here and won't listen to your concerns. They don't keep records of previous appointments, discussions or even the medications they prescribed you! I'm not sure how it's even possible, but they sure do it. Avoid this place!!

Once you get an appointment, the care is excellent. The only issues I had so far is the fact that there are two surgeries they can send you to once you register, and they are nowhere near each other, and that it's nigh impossible to get an appointment, unless you already have something serious.

I’ve been with this practice for approximately 30 years and over that time have had experiences of it that have been excellent, ok, and recently so poor that I’d move to another nearby practice if others nearby were accepting moves. Yes, the nurses are generally good or very good. There are also some good doctors (even if it’s nigh-on impossible to see who you want). But the appointments availability, lack of signposting to urgent care centres by reception staff, dismissive attitude towards test results from private testing organisations, and the bureaucratic behaviour, and lack of listening, empathy, investigative skills, attention to detail etc from others in the practice is such that I could not currently recommend this practice to anybody moving into the area.

This practice first attempted to de-register me as a patient about 2 weeks into the covid pandemic because I had moved 2.5 miles further away. They then did not follow up, but now having asked for an appointment for some travel vaccinations they have told me that "their policy" is to require a minimum of 6 weeks before travel despite this not being a medical requirement and my only option was to go private. What happened to the NHS being free at the point of treatment? Disgusting and fundamentally uncaring.

This practice used to be wonderful and caring of their patients.

But that has all changed.

I popped in to the surgery as had been having trouble getting through by telephone to book an appointment to speak to a doctor about a relatively new diagnosis (Communicated to me by text.)

I didn't mind if I spoke to the doctor face to face or by telephone.
I didn't mind how long I had to wait for the first available appointment.

I was informed that they could not book me ANY appointment as they had absolutely none available and that I should just keep trying to get through on the phone everyday for any to become available.

I left with no appointment.

This was 1.40pm and the waiting room was completely empty when I arrived.
