I first met Ammar about five years ago when I was struggling with lower back pain and sciatica. After just ten sessions with him, my pain completely disappeared. Remarkably, even a year later. Ammar not only helped me eliminate the pain, but he also educated me on how it developed, which made me more mindful of my body. Since then, Iāve incorporated more stretching and taken better care of myself, and the pain has never returned.
Following that success, I approached him about my shoulder pain, which had developed from lifting weights at the gym. With his expertise, Ammar successfully treated it within eight sessions.
One day, I decided to mention my long-standing ankle issues. Years ago, I had seen a surgeon at the Alexander Hospital in Manchester who told me that surgery was my only option. I had grade four arthritis, and the doctor explained that surgery would last 2-3 years each time, with a limit of 2-3 surgeries in my lifetime. At the age of 44, I wasnāt keen on undergoing ankle replacement surgery multiple times, so I decided to give Ammarās treatment a try. After just 11 sessions, Iām now 95% pain-free! I can run again, something that seemed impossible just weeks ago when walking even 100 meters caused severe pain. Iāve gradually started running up to five miles and even returned to squat training at the gym.
What truly sets Ammar apart is the COPA therapy he uses. Itās, without a doubt, the best therapy Iāve ever experienced. Over the last 30 years, Iāve worked with various physiotherapists, chiropractors, and acupuncturists in both Manchester and London. But Ammar is the best Iāve encountered. His deep understanding of pain, combined with his innovative treatment methods, has made a profound difference in my life.
As a property developer, Iām constantly on-site and physically active. Now I use Ammarās services to several of my employees, and itās had a remarkable impact. Theyāre staying healthier, performing better, and, best of all, staying on the job rather than taking time off due to injury.
I wholeheartedly recommend Ammar and COPA therapy to anyone dealing with chronic or acute pain. A single session with him will help you understand just how effective his approach is. Iām truly converted and grateful for the difference itās made in my life.

A few months ago, I was dealing with erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence. However, the challenge began 16 months ago when I started experiencing severe lower back pain and sciatica. As you can imagine, these symptoms had a significant impact on my life. I was diagnosed with cauda equina syndrome, but I was reluctant to undergo surgery. The pain from my back and sciatica made it difficult to work or even go about my daily activities. I sought help from several chiropractors, acupuncturist and physiotherapists close to me but I travelled around Manchester. In total, I must have had over 50 sessions, which provided some relief, but on the days, I didnāt make it to the gym, the pain would quickly return at a level of 7/10. Additionally, the other symptoms I developed eight months ago showed no improvement, and I felt stuck. Thatās when someone recommended Ammar. By that point, I had lost hope, but I felt I had no choice but to give it a try. From the very first session, I could tell that Ammarās approach was different. His COPA therapy specifically targeted the muscles that needed to be released. After just one session, I felt a noticeable improvement, and for the first time in a long time, I felt hopeful. Fast forward to 10 sessions, and I can honestly say Iām back to 100%. The pain has completely disappeared, and I no longer need painkillers. All of the other symptoms that had plagued me also vanished. Ammar gradually spaced out the treatments to once a month, which helped me build confidence that the pain wasnāt just alleviated but fully cured. Even when my gym waterside partially closed for over four weeks due to refurbishment, Christmas and flooding I didnāt go and I didnāt experience any back pain or sciatica. This is a very personal story, but I wanted to share it in the hope that it might help someone else who is going through a similar struggle and hell. Iām truly cured, and I canāt thank Ammar enough for changing my life.

I can highly recommend CT Clinic, in particularly Ammar Sawaf and his COPA therapy technique.
I have suffered from lower back pain and stiffness for most of my adult life. For almost twenty years I have been having regular chiropractic treatments near me, often going to see local physiotherapists or osteopaths nearby when the pain got very bad. I have seen some very good chiropractors, physiotherapists and acupuncturists, and often the acute pain would go away or be managed. But it would never be completely cured, so chronic back pain just became something I lived with and tried to manage.
I love to exercise and go to the gym, particularly weightlifting and CrossFit. When my back pain would flare up, I would not be able to exercise for weeks at a time. It would affect my day to day life, being in constant pain and never being able to get comfortable. It would affect me being able to parent my young children, when I couldnāt pick them up or run around after them, and the lower back pain was making me unhappy and irritable.
The final straw was when I started to get bad hip pain. After three months of having this pain in my pelvis and hips, I knew I needed to try something different. My husband had recently been to CT Clinic and undergone COPA therapy with amazing results. So I decided to go and see Ammar.
I started going to CT Clinic in September and the results have been incredible. The pain that I have lived with so long has gone. I didnāt think it was possible to have a life without back and hip pain, or having to have regular chiropractor or physiotherapy sessions. Ammarās goal is always to ensure his patients are completely pain free and he will not settle for anything less.
In less than 3 months treatment, I have been able to completely resume the activities that I enjoy such as exercise and can be fully present for my children, not thinking about pain all the time. For the first time in my adult life I am living pain free.
COPA therapy is innovative as it combines all the best practices of chiropractic, osteopathic, physiotherapy and acupuncture depending on what the individual person needs.
If you are suffering from chronic back pain, hip pain or any other joint or muscle pain in your body, I recommend going to see Ammar at CT Clinic if you want a long term solution and to live your life without back pain.

I went to see Ammar based on a recommendation from a friend with chronic knee issues who said heād āchanged her lifeā.
Iād recently been told by an orthopaedic surgeon that following multiple knee surgeries (2 x ACL, cartilage/meniscus resections etc) and resulting severe osteoarthritis, that a total knee replacement (TKR) was my only option, but that at 45 I was ātoo youngā and therefore should significantly modify my level of activity to try and eke more years out before the surgery became absolutely necessary for day to day normal activity (because thereās a limit on how long they last).
The surgeon performed an arthroscopy to clean things out a bit including some micro fractures. Post surgery I saw a physiotherapist near me but suffered with chronic and acute post activity pain.
Following my friendās recommendation I made an appointment with Ammar. At the first assessment he checked my quadriceps flexibility and I couldnāt even get my foot to my hand to do the stretch. Ammar explained his approach to pain management through eliminating muscle tightness.
Post first treatment my flexibility significantly improved and continued to improve over the treatments combined with the exercises I was given to do at home⦠with it the severity and frequency of pain also deceased significantly.
Iām now back playing tennis and have little to no pain so long as I keep up with my stretches. Now not only am I hoping to avoid the TKR for a few years, Iām hopeful I may avoid needing one altogether.
I would recommend CTClinic to anyone experiencing pain.

Where do I start? I was treated by Amar for a upper back issue caused by wrestling. The issue plagued me for years and I had given up on resolving the injury which caused me daily discomfort and required me to sleep on my back in an awkward position. I had actually given up after seeing many physios and spending £1000's with no sustained relief after months of treatment.
The first consultation was refreshing, as opposed to me telling Amar what the issue was, he asked me to perform some actions and pinpointed the epicentre of my discomfort which was surprising. He also explained how he had identified the issue which was obviously glaring to any professional who knew what they were doing. Ammar conveyed the costs and lengh of time it would take as part of a treatment plan an he got to work. My upper back and posture is so much better now and I no longer have that dull discomfort radiating sensation anymore. Amar you're an absolute God send, thank you so much for your health. It has been the best investment I've ever made!

I can highly recommend Ammar for treatment of chronic pain. I started seeing Ammar with low back pain that had plagued me for years. I had tried lots of different treatments and lots of different approaches during that time, but I never really got lasting relief. After seeing Ammar for a period of treatment, my back pain got better and better every week. At the end of our sessions, I was more or less pain-free. I am now back to doing all of the activities in my gym training that I had missed out because of my previous back pain.

My apologies for the very long review, I have probably done 4 or 5 in my life only, but I hope that can help somebody else in my position who thinks there is no solution to this kind of chronic pain especially in Manchester.
I contacted Ammar a two months ago, typing those exact words to him:
"My Lower Back Pain and sciatica started to increase back in the covid period, around mid year of the 2020. I Never had physical problems or lower back pain, played football, been to the gym and played video games for a long time during my life until I was 35 years old when my back and hip pain started. In The last 4 years my lower back pain has become more stiff which means I can't do normal daily activities like standing or walking and what I like to do in my free time as I was doing before.
Also in these 4 years i had 3 episodes where i had a complete block of my lower back, the last time 20 days ago, where I was trying to reach my shoes and I had an acute and sharp pain and my lower back seized up, I could not even move from the bed at all for 48 hours, I was like paralyzed.
I have seen a few physiotherapists and chiropractors close to me, two physiotherapists in Italy, and another two physiotherapists in Ireland, only one has helped me slightly, but during the last one and half years I had seen to one physiotherapist in Manchester at least three or four times a month without benefit and the lower back pain and sciatica is still there and that last episode of pain makes me think that I'm not following a right pattern.
I have been told a lot of different things related to my lower back and sciatica, 1 in common is the posture that is not great.
I had the MRI scan last year, it didn't show any major issue to be honest, a disc a bit out of position (bulge disc).
Recently after this last episode of lower back and hip pain where i have been blocked in bed i have a strange pain going through my legs as well, right one mainly. I never had any sort of leg pain in my life, that makes me think it could be sciatica and I couldn't sit down on a chair or sofa so when I get home, I used to lie in bed.
This last physio near me I have seen thinks my right leg is a bit shorter so my body is collapsing and putting pressure on the ride side of the lower back.
After filling the consultation form Ammar replied to me the following day and he said to me after reading your consultation that the COPA therapy would help me to be able to play football and go back to the gym again and do every day routine activities normally according to my age.
I was very sceptical at the beginning, thinking that he was exaggerating, because I have been through a lot of physiotherapist and chiropractor sessions and I was pretty much thinking that I would never be able to do cardio activities like I was doing a few years ago anymore.
After 8 sessions I feel much more confident that the pain won't be coming back and these results will become permanent and now I am back to the gym.
The depth of understanding of my lower back and passion of Ammar trying to help me was incredible, Ammar discusses every little detail about what I am doing wrong and how I have developed the pain of lower back and sciatica.
I also arranged a mid-week session to treat my upper back, shoulders, neck with Ammar.
I'm honestly recommending to see Ammar for chronic pain on lower back, mid-upper back, shoulder and neck. What you need is a pain specialist and those are VERY rare.
Thanks a lot Ammar for your time and dedication!

My lower back pain started around two years ago after 45 minutes drive I tried to stand up and my back went to full muscles spasm and I couldn't straight my lower back at all and I had to go home, I was in bed for two days and on the third day I went to hospital who gave me pain killer which helped slightly but the lower back pain was there all the time between 8/10 and 10/10, even though I went back to hospital 40 days after my first muscles spasm and they gave me morphine which took the edge off, however. The pain still there and has affected my life in every aspect, I dropped my working days from five to two or maybe three days, I was very careful with everything I do or carry as triggered my muscles spasm, I was very careful with how much I drive or sit down as sitting down aggravated my lower back pain and felt like my muscles were going for spasm, so I wouldn't go out with family or friends to eat or accept any invitation as I couldn't sit down for long, in fact I used to eat very quickly in my house so I lie down very quickly, I wasn't able to play or carry my children, I wouldn't go on holiday as sitting down for over 30 minutes was disaster, also I was only able to sleep on my back. This lower back pain and sciatica has affected me mentally as well, that I felt trapped and become snappy on everyone around me especially even my own family as they thought I was exaggerating the pain and looking for sympathy as I was only 31 years old, in regard of treatment I went to six different practitioners in Manchester and Oldham near me, from chiropractic, physiotherapist, acupuncture, massage and osteopathy, some practitioners made the pain better for one day or one physiotherapist in Manchester in particular made the pain worse. until one day I was changing my car's tyre and the owner saw me struggling with lower back and sciatica so he told me about Ammar, by that time I started to lose hope but I thought what do I have to lose, So I booked appointment and after the first session I felt completely better, after the third session I felt my sciatica pain disappeared and the lower back pain come down from 10/10 to 2/10 for the first time in one 9 month also I stopped the morphine I was taking but unfortunately Ammar was going to Dubai, even with that improvement I felt more confident and started slowly going out and I went to two holiday with 7 hours on the plan, and one holiday to Europe for five days in the car, 09/2024 I got text that Ammar is back and working from the same clinic, now I had two session and I feel much better and for the first time in two years I was able to sleep on my side so I really can't thanks Ammar enough for all the work, explanation and understanding he put in to help me. Ammar is the pain specialist to go to in Manchester.
