Beautiful woods. If you go on a good day, the old settlement at the top has a great view. If you go on a bad day, it's great exercise! No bins for the dog ?. Make sure you take bags.

I've loved this place since I first saw it, whilst I was running up it when I was in the RAF many a year ago.
Having been back many a time since (and not having to run up it either), my latest visit I was impressed by the way they'd laid out the different pathways, clearly signposted, taking you on routes up and around the hill.
If you fancy a few hours walking (or running, if you wish...) up the gentle inclines, affording you fabulous views out over the Hertfordshire countryside and beyond, then you could far worse than taking the time to climb Credenhill.

This is worth a visit, it is the site of a large iron age hill Fort fairly steep to start, at the top there are good views of surrounding countryside, also there are picnic tables as you enter into the site. We'll worth a walk around the Fort site too.

Lovely place great views. Can get busy, only thing that lets it done there are no bins to dispose of dog waste so some people don't clean up dog mess or just leave bags of poo lying around not nice.

A pleasant visit if you're in the area. Car parking at the base of the hill with a concrete drive up and around.
There are a couple of walks on the drive plus you can also go into the woods and also onto the common at the top.

I visited Credenhill Park Wood recently and it was a most enjoyable experience.
The park is a National Trust site.
It is a short walk from the village of Credenhill.
It has a car park and at the entrance to the wood is a board with a plan of the wood and recommended walks around Credenhill Park Wood.
The wood has some good walks, good views especially if you go all the way to the top of the site.
I am going back to walk around Credenhill Park Wood and Credenhill itself on Friday 22nd November,Saturday 23rd November and Sunday 24th November.
I am also going to be walking around the Sennybridge Defence Training Estate on Saturday 23rd November and Sunday 24th November.
I am also going to be attending St Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Brecon on Saturday 23rd November at 6pm for the Mass and on Sunday 24th November at 11am for the Mass.
My "base" as such and where I am staying at on Friday 22nd November to Sunday 24th November is The Portway Inn on the A438 Brecon Road at Staunton On Wye.
I would recommend a visit to the Credenhill Park Wood.
