Decent gym and pool. Loads of fitness classes in an excellent airy and bright fitness studio. Free parking with EV charging. A recently opened cafe with viewing area for the pool makes it a great place to bring the kids for swimming lessons

Really glad this opened up. Since it has from last summer it has noticeably gotten busier which is only a good thing. There were a few teething problems when it opened (especially regarding lane swimming) but its been pretty smooth for a while now.

The gym is well stocked and spacious. Its kept quite cool even when the sun is beating through the windows.

The changing rooms are also spacious and premier members can use their own changing area as well. They seem to be kept in quite a good condition too.

The pool is great. Probably the best of the Medway gyms. It's chlorine free and the water is quite smooth as it meets the top of the sides and doesn't splash against the sides. It's often kept cool as well which is much better than heated as it helps keep you cooler as you swim.

The leisure pool is brilliant as well. That side is kept a little warmer and is great for younger ones and babies. And the slide is a lot of fun. The weekend sessions are busy which is really encouraging to see.

Our children both do swim lessons at this sports center and the teachers are very thorough with their lessons.

Prices are great too. About £40 a month for a single membership or £80 for a family membership (which is what some people pay for gyms alone) which basically gets you everything and in all the Medway gyms.

I've only used the pool so far, which is always clean and usually warm, although there's been 2 mornings it's been a bit chilly.
Showers and changing rooms were clean when I first started attending in November, but it's evident they're not cleaned well now. These photos are from the changing rooms and the marks on the walls have been there since the beginning of January, and we're still there earlier this week, so at least 6 weeks.
Hairdryers are a bit rubbish too.

So, facilities are pretty okay, but cleanliness is dropping rapidly!

It's the .ost expensive swim I've ever done, the pool isn't anywhere near as big as it used to be, the wave pool is tiny. The slide ok but you feel the joins all the way down. The best bit about it is the parking is free. Won't be going back when there are much better sports centers not too far away.

Friendly great staff, as for a brand new centre, it's badly designed.
Good points.... the centre is clean and tidy. There are lots of lockers, and good clean toilets. The pool is warm, and the wave pool and the slide is fun for the kids. The inflatable day is good for adults and children too.
Bad points.... If you pay for lessons, then you physically cannot see your youngest children in the pool. This is because it's the furthest away pool and blocked by the special orange pool divide. For new parents, this is a big worrying concern. The gym upstairs over looks the pool rather than the viewing area, or the fact that the 2 pools should have been the other way round. The viewing area you have to walk in and out the reception barriers, as if to enter and exit, as this is not part of the pool area, personally I think it should be incorporated inside the reception area whether this should be partitioned off. Whereas other centres you have to enter before allowing to go to the viewing area, anyone can just come in and watch. I cannot discourage others to not try it as the teachers are great. As for the showers, they cover the whole area. So walking to and from lessons its hard to walk past without getting wet. There are no spinners to spin the wet swimwear. The hairdryers are not fantastic, and the nozzles are sometimes missing. There are over head cameras by the enclosed showers, but I have been told that they are for night purposes (a bit uneasy for some people). The enclosed showers spray over the whole cubicle so you cannot take a towel in to put on the door as this will get wet, everything in the cubicle will get wet. There are only a couple of enclosed showers, not that great if your not a member and you just want to shower your child in private. The cafe since the centre opened has never been open or even ready for business.
I cannot comment on members areas as my husband is one but not I.
If your going to build a new multimillion pound centre, at least build it in mine of a parents perspective, not just for purposes of use. Based on swimming lessons for the centre, Three stars rather than five. 2 stars less, as for viewing area (all points mentioned), cameras near cubicles, lack of private showers and the design of them.
Overall this is about the facility and not the staff and lessons.

Nice new pool. Pool quite small. Staff seem a little inexperienced to handle issues as they arise. Not enough changing rooms so lots of people queuing after a timed session. No cafe on site yet but vending machines provided.

Fun experience! The only downsides are that the wave pool is a bit too deep and the pool is quite small. Other then that 10/10 recommend!
