I took my partner here on a 111 emergency appointment, he had a large crack and infection under the tooth, it resulted in a removal of the tooth and he has a fear of dentists as it is. We were treated so kindly and compassionately, the reception staff were warm and welcoming, the waiting areas were super clean, light and airy with modern decor and a relaxed vibe and the waiting time was almost non existent. The dentist and the nurse assisting him were fabulous, calm, informative and patient…made me and my partner feel really relaxed and comfortable and gave us great advice for the future. We’ve been searching for an NHS dentist for 3 years and haven’t had any luck…so, we are signing up with Coxhoe instead, it’s worth every penny!

I was referred here for an emergency through 111 on friday. I am petrified of the dentist due to a previous bad experience. The dentist I seen was so lovely, he made me feel at ease straight away. I needed 2 teeth out due to an abcess and I was in horrendous pain which made me more nervous of being seen. He kept checking I was OK every few seconds before doing anything else. I think I was In the room about 15mins, both teeth out and abcess sorted! I would recommend this surgery to anyone. Also the receptionist staff were lovely, especially the young girl who dealt with me. Thankyou for getting me our of pain.

If you’re a nervous patient please look no further than here..
I am absolutely terrified of the dentist but since coming to Coxhoe Dental Practice I’ve never had a better experience. Huge shoutout to Caroline & her dental nurse, could NOT of asked for a better dental hygienist! They both made me feel so comfortable, took everything slow and restored my confidence in my teeth again after not going to the dentist in a long time. Cant thank them enough for making me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I will never go anywhere else !

Not easy to get an NHS appointment unless your willing to wait a month or so. Emergency appointments are even harder to get but with a little juggling they can usually get you in that day, but no guarantee.

I had my appointment cancelled 24hrs before scheduled. This was due to the dentist having staff sickness. Obviously these situations can’t be avoided but I had to wait nearly 30 days for another appointment. This was probably because of the lockdown situation, everybody needing a dentist. Not ideal, especially when your in pain.

When I finally got my appointment I was told by the dentist to leave it another month and see how I am. Following few days later, constant pain, rang up at 9am and was told no emergency appointments available. Trisha rang me back an hour later to advise they got me in, YES.........

Can not fault the dentist (Helen) and her nursing staff. Calm and friendly manner. Been to her a few times now and every time she is professional and pleasant to be around.

Once your in you’ll find the practice very clean with a friendly atmosphere.
A big shout out to Carol, Trisha and Paula in reception. Found them to have a very warm and understand approach even if sometimes their hands were tied to what they could do for you.

I had an emergency appointment this morning to have a tooth removed. The whole team were extremely friendly and made me feel at ease. The dentist I had was Toby who explained the procedure and I cannot thank them enough. Excellent service and the reason for 5 star rating.
