We have been delighted with the live in home care provided by Consultus following my mother's stroke last October when she was discharged from hospital but wasn't well enough to be back home unsupported. Care was arranged really quickly. The carers have all been great. They have helped my mother with her personal care, physio rehabilitation exercises and hospital appointments and have also supported my elderly father at no extra cost. They have given us all peace of mind whilst we plan my parents' future care needs.

Consultus from a carers point of view
I have been a carer with Consultus since April 2024. Besides the training they gave me, the support at various clients, getting me constant work and care they have shown me has blown me away. The team at the office, particularly Tracy and Amelia are always willing to answer any question, no matter how random. I have certainly seen the country through caring. Oh and the carer house where I stayed during training was just beautiful, just what I needed after a long flight from SA and landing in a new country. I would highly recommend them as an agency for both carers and families needing care. They are a family run business with care at the heart of the business. Thank you for everything

Carers from Consultus looked after my mother and father for over 7 years and i can honestly say we could have never got through that period without their help. The carers we had were fantastic . And they weren't just carers... they became friends and companions to my parents and also to the family as a whole. They really are special people who i felt went beyond the call of duty to make sure Mum and Dad were cared for properly. We had 3 or 4 regular carers that mum would look forward to seeing and I always felt that it was like having extended family looking after my parents. It took so much pressure and stress off of us as a family to know we had them there. I cannot rate them highly enough!
Also to the girls on the phones and management at Consultus especially Louise and Tara... you were always there when we needed you and as a family we cannot thank you enough. Exceptional!

When we needed urgent 24/7 care for our mother, Consultus worked with us extremely quickly and were able to have a carer available for the initial two week period within 48 hours. The carer was lovely and we were all extremely happy with the services provided, including my mother. I highly recommend.

“Consultus were absolutely amazing, fulfilling my Aunt’s wishes that she spent her last 18 months living at home. Not only were they great at matching carers with my Aunt, who remained fiercely independent until the end, they also became part of the family, ensuring that things ran smoothly, liaising with all the agencies and doctors as and when needed. I loved the short nightly emails, that provided me with an update on how the day had gone. Importantly, it gave me peace of mind that everything was okay and they would let me know when my help was needed.

The lovely Consultus manager, Fiona, would regularly visit my aunt and provide me with more detailed updates, so that we could work as a team to ensure my aunt’s needs were adapted as she became frailer. Fiona or one of her colleagues were always at the end of the phone if needed.

The carers remain with my aunt until the end and undoubtedly allowed her to gracefully pass on to her next great adventure.

We have been using Consultus for over a year now to care for my almost 100 year old Mum. She was desperate to remain in her own home. I can honestly say every carer who has cared for Mum has been excellent. They have all been very professional and knowledgeable with superb caring skills (I am an ex nurse) and very hard working. They have been able to establish kind and close relationships with Mum. Of course there are always some she "clicks" with more than others but there is not one I wouldn't have back. We now have a little band of returning carers which helps with Mums anxiety about constantly having to share her home with new people. The office staff too are always quick to sort problems and understand our needs as a family. 24 hour live in care is certainly not a cheap option for care but the reassurance and peace of mind Consultus has given the family has been really worth it.

We've had a live-in carer via Consultus for my nanny for over a year now, and I'm really happy with the service provided.
I've found the Consultus team professional and efficient, and the carers that we've had have all been good and operate to a high standard - both the quality of care and associated record keeping has been excellent. It has made my life much easier knowing that she is so well looked after, and if I have any queries I know I can look back at the notes recorded each day.
They also follow up with the GP and caring support agencies to get the best for her.

The carers often go above and beyond and I hope I'm fortunate to have someone like them look after me when I get to that stage!
