I have been so impressed by the kindness, care and helpfulness of all the receptionists, nurses and doctors who have helped my 95 year old Mum in the past months. Today I was particularly pleased when I took my Mum for a blood test, which went well even though it is not easy, given her age, to get blood, from her, I mentioned to the phlebotomist that she had a skin rash of which I was concerned. I asked if it was possible to see a practitioner about it. To my delight the receptionist had a word with the doctor and she was seen straight away. This level of care has been my experience of Constable Country Practice for a long while and I have even been offered home visits on other occasions which although not needed the offer was appreciated . Thank you to all the team!

I rarely use a Doctors as the surgery has not got a good reputation and fortunately have experienced largely good health. We are now thinking of moving to be nearer a better Doctors surgery as we get older.
I have been through an extremely stressful time and have now got various health issues. Since getting no help in the village I went on a break to my house in Spain. My problems got worse and I went to my local health centre where I was seen within half an hour and got a fantastic service unseen in my surgery. When it got worse I also got fantastic help from a local A&E dept. All free, all totally efficient.
When I was referred from my osteopath to investigate a potential problem I was surprised to get an actual appointment with two student doctors who were very thorough. When the actual supervising Dr then came in he never examined me, just stood in the doorway and said it was ‘muscular’. I insisted it need investigating further and he dismissively said to get my osteopath to write to him. I finally got a telephone appointment several weeks later where I complained about my treatment. The ultrasound department rang me the next day, I’ve just had the scan and yes I did have a problem.
This is not the only instance recently and I am a lucky person - I have Doctors on Call who have been a brilliant help with other issues. What about others in the village who cannot afford this and are not getting the service we deserve? Having experienced my parents Doctors surgery in Sheffield which is brilliant and friends experience of a local surgery nearby, I know that we deserve more from our surgery. They are totally letting their patients down.

Our family joined the practice at the start of the year and we have received a very good service. It may be hard to get through in the mornings but Ive found that with all GP surgery's in the morning. When we have needed to see a Dr urgently for the kids they have listened and we were seen promptly. We have also found the eConsult service very good and the receptionists have always been professional and polite with me. Do unto other etc.

Reception staff are extremely rude and abrupt. Constantly just fob you off to the long online route. Was hung up on as one of them was obviously stressed and didn't want to help. Or answer any questions I had. To each question was "I don't know" well surely its your job to find out why. I phoned back and was spoken to like I was lying on being hung up on. The professional behavior is somewhat missing here. I would suggest some customer service training.

It's OK but the stress levels of the pharmacy staff and sometimes the receptionist is very evident. The stress of the pharmacy staff easily rubs off on the patients and they are politely rude at times. It's not their fault its the way it's all organised. Organised Chaos.

I recently transferred to this practice having moved to Bentley. I have to admit I was a bit reticent because of the reviews and views from a few people I know who attend the practice. However I have been pleasantly surprised. I have never had any problem getting through to the practice and receiving a same day telephone consultation or face to face appointment if the GP felt it necessary, even if I have phoned after noon. All the staff are efficient, prefessional and very helpfull.
I am also of the view that telephone consultations are a much more effective use of a GP's time. Their time is precious and there are fewer of them these days. Managing their consultation time in this way allows them to devote more time to patients who do need to be seen face to face. I recently had a telephone medication review with the Pharmacist , you don't need the GP to do this and the Pharmacist has a much more in depth knowledge of medications.
I would just like to day a big thankyou to all the staff.
